as for Nicola Roberts, I don't really know- do people really care? I think either it will go top 10 or stall in the top 20 and then plummet the week afterwards, still, I think she'll do better than Nadine did :kink:

I think she could do pretty well. There seems to be quite a bit of hype about the release, mostly down to who she's been working with on the album. Obvously won't be as huge as Cheryl but I can definitely see her having moderate success with the single and album.

^Unique is not the word to describe it as it's got hit with controversy that Beyonce ripped the performance off another artist :P

Actually she didn't. She worked with the same people who had produced the backdrop for the artist and they created a new one for her. There are some similarities, but that's the designers fault, as opposed to Beyoncé's.

Does it even matter anyway? I haven't watched the performance, so I don't really have a clue what this is all about, but when my favourite artists perform, I really could not give if it's like another performance or not. I frankly don't care, and I think most people like that. Just one or two fanbases who seem to have some obsessive need for their artist to do something new in each performance.

Beyonce admitted that she watched the artist's performance of the song 1 year before Run The World (Girls) came up and she was inspired by it though, so I don't think Unique is still the word for the performance but it's nevertheless still really really good. ^_^

Glee update:

Rolling In The Deep - #35

Friday - #37

Jar Of Hearts - #58

Go Your Own Way - #84

I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You - #91

Isn't She Lovely - #95

Songbird - #121

I Feel Pretty/Unpretty - #125

Loser Like Me - #130

Dancing Queen - #159

Somewhere Only We Know - #184

Friday may get a boost tomorrow :P I wonder which of RITD and Friday will chart higher officially?

62. Jar of Hearts (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

68. Jar of Hearts - Christina Perri

Won't be long before Christina overtakes Glee. This has got to be the first time in a while two versions of the same song make their chart débuts at the same time. (I know Turning Tables had 2 versions enter the top 100 and indeed the top 75 (barely) at the same time but the Adele version had had several top 200 weeks previously whereas both Glee's JOH and Christina's original were released this week)

There's a reason why I didn't use the word "original". :P I knew all about the "controversy".

Eric, watch the video NOW! I'm not asking, i'm telling! :D

I'm watching it now. It looks like she's teleporting around the stage!!!

It's really good though! :D I loved the tributes too. :D I bet Jay-Z was wearing those sunglasses to hide his tears.

Just watched the Super Bass/Till The World Ends performance too!!!!! :D Amazing. It looks so epic when everybody in the crowd is jumping with their hands in the air! :o And Nicki and Britney are stunning.

She pulled the performance intro off because if there was 1 mistake, it would ruin it but she was flawless <3

How did they make her teleport though?! Seriously, WTF?! Were there mirrors or something? Or did they record her and then project it on a screen? :o

They did both look stunning, although not sure why Britney needed the microphone

Superbass is #23 i think it will be similar to GFLD's success

 True. They didn't even pre-record it. She just lip-synced over the song. I loved it though. Especially the bit where Nicki and all her clones walked after her.

Till the World Ends has been such a massive hit in the US now, and it's still going strong. I wish it did so well in the UK. :( It was literally just about to go top 10 on iTunes in the UK when it was originally released before it started dropping. I always wondered if things would've been completely different if it got there. Capital might've played it, at least.

I wish HIAM's chart positions could have swapped with TTWE tbh.

Also why has she STILL not started promoting the album around the world?!?!?... its going to go down as a flop unless she picks her game up!!

Britney's time is up in the UK tbh, she was massive during the Toxic days and having #1 every so often, now her singles barely manage to hang onto the charts as much which is a shame.

Is Dev Bass down low anyway near top 10 its so catchy been in head all day i think if it gets to top 10 it will rise rapidly

I think it could go top 10 sometime in the next few days (not that it deserves to - it nowhere near as good as LAG6) -_- It's the type of song I should like, but I'm not really into it - not even Tinie Tempah has improved the song and the 'low bass' part of the chorus is the part I don't like the most (you know the part where there's just bass and no treble) - it doesn't work well

P.S. - don't forget to vote in the final round of 80s Number Ones Rate. Link in my sig :D

I heard a wee article somewhere saying that one of her close friends said Britney isn't feeling the music industry anymore and she's practically not interested in her music career..

Out of interest, how many albums/how long until her contract ends?

I don't know about contracts and stuff, but her album has been successful. She's had 2 #1s in the US singles chart (plus Till the World Ends which is having an insane chart run so far), and her album got to #1 too. If she wants to (which maybe she doesn't ), she can put out another album.

And even if she disappeared completely off the face of the Earth, she'll still go down in history. I think a lot of you might be too young to remember Britney at her peak, but seriously, Lady Gaga in 2009 doesn't really compare imo (obviously someone is going to chime in and disagree, but honestly, she was everything at the time).

Oh, and also, I think I Wanna Go got to #1 in South Korea or something.

So did Gaga's Born This Way + Judas

And really? Was Britney bigger in her peak days compared to Gaga's? Gaga was HUGE though, literally like received praise by so many top notch musicians.
