They've played it outside outside of the chart show too. Maybe they just really like it? :lol: There was also the Cahill remix of Missing You which they seemed to play more than the original on Radio 1, for some unknown reason. :lol:

 

California King Bed is okay, but poor by Rihanna's standards imo.

This is OK, a lot better than S&M (hopefully last week for that), although her voice really grates on me for some reason, which means I will get tired of this very quickly :(

I know what you mean. I think it's okay, "Hate That I Love You" was better though.

Rihanna has done amazing ballads, like Take a Bow, Love the Way You Lie, Unfaithful. But California King Bed is poor in comparison to those imo. It hate the instrumental mainly. It's like Love the Way You Lie's instrumental, but the guitar is sooooooooo OTT at some points. :puke: :(

In my opinion, going off solo singles, only SOS, Unfaithful, Umbrella, Disturbia, Russian Roulette and maybe Only Girl would be above CKB in my rankings, and that's only a maybe for each of them.

 

I find it so hard to rank her songs definitively. And I really like her ballads.

I never rated Take A Bow either. I do like Unfaithful though, and for me that's her sole good ballad (LTWYL isn't really a ballad, unless you count the II version).

Totally agree.

As a fan of Rihanna's music I will be honest and say I am not a fan of CKB. The video is great, but the song does not match. Her best ballad is 'Unfaithful' by far, her others aren't that great (I was never a fan of TAB)

CKB is probably my third least favourite of her singles, ahead of RR and TAB. :puke:

Yeah, I would never be able to rank her songs! :o I just love so many of them. The the ones I hate, I REALLY hate (see: Don't Stop the Music, Russian Roulette, Te Amo). My favourite is Live Your Life. But other than that, I'm lost. :lol:

 

California King Bed would sound much better with a piano imo (like the beautiful piano playing right now in Just Can't Get Enough :heart:), and if she shouted less.

Glad this has fallen fast. Its so boring, as are the Black Eyed Peas nowadays.

Not a fan of BEPs new stuff. I prefer their Elephunk and Monkey Business stuff.

Unfaithful is her only very good ballad (and probably my favourite song from her), her others bore me to tears mainly
