I'm not sure if this has been discussed before (I remember something similar though)

Are there any songs by bands you love that you just cannot bear to listen to?

I love Pulp, they're one of my favourite bands, but I hate 'Disco 2000' with a passion. I'm not sure if it was just that it didn't stand up to the ubiquity of the band at the time in the same way that Common People did or that it just has a really weak song at the heart. I also hate the lyrics and the word 'woodchip' just really grates with me. Strange but true.

Anyone else?

Not really retro but possibly the most extreme example of this is Snow Patrol. Chasing Cars being my least favourite song of all time, but I like most of their other output. Especially 'Crack The Shutters'

I love 'Chasing Cars'  I'm not a fan of SP, but they have some good songs (other favourites being 'Open Your Eyes' (my 2nd fave by the patrol), 'Take Back The City', 'Just Say Yes' and 'Run' [i don't like their version of 'Run' as much as I used to, thanks to the lovely Leona Lewis cover])

When I first heard Brian Eno's 15 minute version of Suede's Introducing The Band as a b-side to The Wild Ones I hated it so much I vowed never to listen to it again. I heard it for the second time yesterday as it is on the repackaged version of Dog Man Star. It still sounded terrible.

Was It Worth It by Pet Shop Boys. I love almost all of their material, but I can't stand that one.

Plus, I Have A Dream by Abba. Mind you, I hate Thank You For The Music aswell

I was going to create a list, but then I realised that almost every band I love has done something either disappointing or I've just not managed to get into!

Perhaps the most prominent is;

The tone fits the rest of the album I guess, but it's so damn GRATING. urgh.

'Was it wind? Did it take a bad deflection?

A decade spent nursing a fear that you might never make it?

The crowd draws breathe at once it swerves to the top corner

The Sunday tabloid press declares me the new king of Malta.'

Yes, it's about football

However, it's impressive that they recorded about 25 songs before I disliked a single one.

Don't like Lola by The Kinks at all, even though I love all their other stuff.
The only one I can think of at the moment is 'Kiss of Life' by Friendly Fires.

Kylie - Spinning Around

Basement Jaxx - Romeo

Madonna - La Isla Bonita

Human League - Don't You Want Me

Pet Shop Boys - It's Alright (TERRIBLE cover version)

I really like Oasis but some songs they've done are terrible, Go Let It Out and Who Feels Love being the main ones

I thought they were ok, mainly because they were shameful rip-offs of the Beta Band. What followed immediately after was horrendous.

ABBA - Fernando

S Club 7 - Don't Stop Movin'

Atomic Kitten - Eternal Flame
