I would say:

Up

Work (cahill mix)

Small gap

Ego

Higher (without Flo Rida)

Big gap

Everything else they have done.

Forever is Over is the only song of theirs I've really hated. Just so boring imo. :( They've been really consistently good in general though, I think.

Uh oh, time for me to break out the  smileys. In order...

Brilliant:

Missing You

Ego

Up

Issues

Work

Higher (either version)

Fairly good (bit of a gap here):

If This Is Love

Forever Is Over

Notorious

Crap:

Just Can't Get Enough

JCGE is the only one I don't like...

Have you heard the Cahill full club mix of Work?

Literally AMAZE.

Missing You is so underrated, I had it on earlier for the first time in ages and it reminded me how much I loved it. The club ballad bassline and synths are brilliant - yes the melody's more subtle than their usual pure pop but it's not a bad thing imo. That said, Up and Higher are by FAR my favourites of theirs.

^That's actually rather good. It definitely benefits from a higher tempo.

I like.

You can get it on i-tunes ^_^

I have listened to Missing You and Higher almost 100 times. They are fansastic, especially Missing You.

I love ALL the Sats singles (yes even If This Is Love and Forever Is Over)! I'd rank:

1. Up

2. Higher

3. Missing You

4. Issues

5. Ego

6. Work

7. Notorious

8. Just Can't Get Enough

9. If This Is Love

10. Forever Is Over

FIO is still a 9/10 though :o[/satsloon]

Great thread idea btw, it should stop the complaining by some (me included at times) who just want to see the iTunes positions. I think it should be renamed 'iLoons thread' though :P

As The Saturdays are pretty much nobodies outside the UK and Ireland, I can't be bothered with them.. But funny when people celebrate their new song being higher than Gaga's when she sold more albums in one week than an average Saturdays album will ever manage.

They will have no impact in music business. Chart-wise perhaps if they manage to get three more number twos without a number one. But seems that their story is going nowhere. The next single must be huge to keep them in the game.

The difference being huge marketing and promotion gets an act like The Saturdays or even Parade a top 10 debut single. I'd be astonised if Parade ever score a top 10 hit in any other country - including Ireland. They remind me of Girl Thing (ie; very much a flash in the pan). For me, The Saturdays have yet to release what I would describe as a "classic pop single". How I'd rank their singles:

01. Up (without doubt their closest attempt to pop gold but still not hitting the mark - when was the last time this got played on TV or radio?)

02. Missing You

03. Ego

04. Higher

** gap **

05. If This Is Love

06. Issues

07. Just Can't Get Enough

08. Notorious

** big gap **

09. Forever Is Over

10. Work

'Forever Is Over' and 'Work' are both on par for being easily my least fave singles by The Saturdays. 'Work' sounds like an album track that shouldn't have been pushed as a single, whilst 'Forever Is Over' is just painful to listen to - FAR too many screechy high notes my poor ears had to endure the first time I heard it. :( Plus, 'FIO' was written by one of Britain's worst ever songwriters (the least popular member of Busted ** shudders ** ).

I think that they have one 'classic' in Up. It's definitely stood the test of time over the past few years, I still hear it fairly often on the radio. I don't think it helped that it was released at around the same time as The Promise by Girls Aloud which sort of overshadowed it in terms of 'girlband classic'. I know on BJ it's not exactly one of their most popular songs but for me it was the song I was always waiting for GA to release - pop perfection and definitely a modern classic, slightly moreso than Up anyway.

:D

Girls Aloud >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Saturdays

'The Promise' is a lovely song, and it's a big shame they split up because they are my favourite girl band (of course that isn't a hard thing when the only other girlbands around are Sats and Parade ) And before you mention Sugababes and Spice Girls - Sugababes are crap now but were OK back in the day (they had some good songs) and I was too young at the Spice Girls' peak so their songs don't bring back memories like GA

You should listen to them when you have the chance. Especially Issues and Work, they're quite good.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if you knew them, but you just never realized they were by The Saturdays. They were quite big songs in 2009.

Forever Is Over

Up is a pop masterpiece, it's extremely rare for me to love a female pop songs as much as I love Up. Higher and Ego are both really good too, Work and MY are decent, the next four are just about listenable (that's based on one listen for Notorious so it may grow) and Forever Is Over is just horrible.

5. If This is Love

6. Just Can't Get Enough

7. Work

8. Notorious

9. Forever is Over

10. Missing You

Missing You was such crap, seriously...it was just so formulaic and the use of autotune just made me cringe that they would make something so generic as an attempt of getting a hit, I'm very glad it didn't reach number 1, Club Can't Handle Me was much better

I don't think they've done a classic if I'm being honest, I agree with SKOB, so far, they've made no mark on the music industry like Girls Aloud did
