Why thank you grand-daughter! You know - we don't chat as often as I'd like us to! We should make the effort - despite there being a 30 year age gap ... and I really should know better!

PS - you're still one of my favourite posters!

I really enjoyed Luke Lucas tonight. I thought he was actually, very good. I don't get what was so unlikeable about him either tbh... just that he's a slightly bigger version of Justin Bieber. Very good voice and I'm looking forward to hearing some more from him.

One thing's for sure. Jayd, will NOT win. (I didn't think she was all that personally, but meh) I don't get why everyone/most people and the judges were creaming over it, other than the fact she sang 'Someone Like You'?

I honestly felt that Jade should have performed "Beautiful Diaster" by Kelly Clarkson (the slow version).

The Adele song didn't really do much for me.

But had she performed that song (although it would have probably suited her better) she wouldn't have got the reaction she had as it's not the nearest thing to being some form of national anthem at the moment.

I thought Lucas was a nice kid. Just that. No great shakes as a singer though - his confidence being greater than his talent. Mind you - at least it just seems like youthful confidence and not outright arrogance (like that turnip Frankie from the first show.)

Again - nice girl - nothing really special about the voice apart from the fact, as Jonjo says, she appears to have correctly chosen the UK's unofficial anthem at the moment. Personally I can't stand the song and although I just thought Jayd was ok - I actually preferred her singing it to Adele (something about Adele's voice is really grating on me now). Even my best friend (and quiz partner) who raved about the album 21 when she first bought it - cannot stand it now.

The last girl? Dreadful.

The talent thus far has mostly been disappointing, although I guess that is to be expected.

I've become a sucker for X-Factor now :( Tulisa is my fav judge :o

LOL at the girl from Angels who had a go at Tulisa. Kelly told her straight and made her look like a complete utter idiot! HA!

Jade was ok and had a good voice but she made her performance sound too much like Adele's.

Personally I hate the live auditions. I much prefer the old format as we saw more auditions. The first quarter of the show was all taken up by that awful ageing wannabe rocker.

He just made me cringe.

The fact that it's obvious who's going to be in the live finals from the auditions straight away kind of annoys me.

Didn't like anyone. The last girl was not as good as they make her look like :| For me she was Adele #2, a worse version of her anyway. Although hearing the Fife accent was amazing. <3 And I have been CRINGING at Luke Lucas from the moment he told Dermot that he 'liked' Tulisa. Ugh.

Disappointing episode.

Jade was very mediocre i didn't get the reaction other then to the song she sang......

ITV Player has crapped out during the Fifer's sob story. I really don't understand your attraction to the Kirkcaldy accent Pavel at ALL. It's just rough and as vile as the people who speak it.

So fat goth chav with sob story sings Adele song and brings the house down/makes the judges cry/gets a standing O. WHO could have predicted it.

She's from my neck of the woods so it's NED rather than chav and you don't get a goth NED, they spend all their time attempting to stab each other. Especially in the rough utter monstrosity that is the southern coast of Fife.

So Fife is an equivalent to southern LA?!

To be honest - until she started singing I couldn't understand a bloody word she was saying anyway - so maybe her rather negative comments have been lost on others too. It is being a bit general to say that Fife is a dive - the Kingdom of Fife covers rather a large area (some nice bits some awful bits and - like every other area - some boring bits). Maybe the particular bit that she was from are a bit of a dive! I've been to the Macedonia area of Glenrothes quite a few times and that does look a bit like Beirut on a Saturday night at times.

The sob stories this year have been very below par. Did they really spend 10 minutes of last night's show focusing on the fact that Goth Chav HAS A GRAN? They could AT LEAST have pretended she was dead or something.

Have you seen that guy on Australian X-F? Now I'd hate to class his story as a sob story (as it truly is a story of triumph over adversity) but maybe some contestants on our own show should watch it - then maybe they'd realise what a hard frigging life some people have! Plus - the guy on Australian X-F had one of those rare things - a pretty damned good voice without doing all of that 'over singing' that most other young guys do on these shows.

Fife is pathetically small! Yet somehow has a Police force larger than that of the Capital  (Not that they do anything)

Pretty much everywhere from Glenrothes down is vile. The north has it's awful parts too, namely Newburgh and Tayport, but for the most part Northern Fife is rural and charming.

Mabye a Goth Ned would go around slashing and stabbing everyone else, but then go back home and then do the same to themselves? Just a thought.

just watched this, I have to agree with others that I didn't really think Jayde was THAT good, she was definitely competant, but she sounded off key in the first chorus - certainly not worthy of all that praise!

asides from that, there was nothing really of note (David was amusing though), Luke was a good singer, but all this 'crush on judges' makes me want to vomit and that face is pretty punchable :(

If Jayde gets on to the live shows everyone put £20 on her to win. Not cos she's that good, but because we all know what happens if there's a good-mediocre Scottish person on a reality TV show!!!
