well that's good news then. :D I did like jade, but melanie is my second favourite of the girls. could see her being this year's laura/lucie though, and leaving early. :( too bad the thing known as misha made it through too, although I saw it coming.

so is goldie still in this or not? people are saying she's left, some are saying she's still in.

Goldie was offered a place in Louis' top 4 but declined it because she'd miss her family too much! :o

I'm not surprised Melanie is through at all, after all judges like REALLY liked her at Boot Camp, and it was shown.

 

I don't think that clip is Melanie's audition, she sang Only Girl from the clip we saw :unsure:

All Night Only was her first audition. They asked her to do something more contemporary so she then did Only Girl and that's what we saw.

It's actually quite refreshing to actually hear an unedited X Factor audition. I actually thought she sang 'One Night Only' better than 'Only Girl (In The World)' so it seems odd that they showed her second song on the TV highlights. It was also good to hear to full judges comments - not the cut and paste bits the producers want to show the public.

 

That said, I assume this girl has auditiond in the past and never got far due to Tulisa saying something about her being the biggest improved singer to have come back.

I had a feeling I knew her, even if it was only bootcamp! But there's ALWAYS someone who returns and excels each series - just one of the must have cliches!

Maybe she watched the audition on tv? Or maybe the judges were told right before she came on that Melanie auditioned before (and was strong) and as long as they like what they hear, to big her up when she's finished singing.

 

Although maybe you could cut out the "as long as they like what they hear" and replace it with "as long as they want to keep their jobs" :P
