Bad Meets Evil (a duo of Eminem & Royce da 5'9") are releasing 'Hell: The Sequel', an EP, on June 14th. First single 'Fast Lane' has already made the Hot 100 and the following song has recently leaked.

 

 

I really like it on first listen. Given it's similar to LTWYL, and features Bruno Mars, this should be quite huge.

Yeah, it's good. I was really, really worried about what this track would be like, since it's got Bruno on the hook (and it's produced by him too, although Eminem also produced it), and I'm not a fan of Bruno. It's okay though. I think it sounds like Nothin' On You. This would make a good song for the radio to play, so maybe it'll be released as a single.

 

Also, does anybody else think Bruno's hook sounds like this song (particularly the bit that begins after 0:37)?

 

 

And other songs from the EP (or parts of them) have leaked too, although they're probably not worth starting threads for. :lol:

But yeah, you should listen to their other songs. Although they're a bit less mainstream, but there'll probably be a few that you like.

Listening to the album now :D Will give comments/thoughts when it's finished/if or whenever I remember haha.

For someone who is not a fan of this music genre, I'll find this track a real grower, and grown to love it.

em and 5.9 did tracks togther many years ago. its not a new thing.

Really like Brunos part and could have done with more of him prefer Fast Lane but this should do well.

I prefer Fast Lane too, although this song is also good. I don't think the song needs more Bruno though really. The beat already sounds a lot like his songs, and I think if the chorus was any longer it's be mostly singing, and would end up like a Pitbull song (minus the club beats :lol:).

I don't have a clue! :o Although it uses an almost identical melody to another song in the chorus (I posted the song above).

 

All I can think of that the verses sound like is Nothin' On You.

Maybe it's not actually a sample, because in the album booklet it lists all the samples, but it doesn't say anything for this.

 

A lot of producers tend to have songs that sound the same (exhibit A: RedOne, Timbaland, Alex Da Kid, David Guetta, pretty much everybody else :lol:), so perhaps it's just that? It says Battle Roy and Eminem composed the instrumental, so it could be one of their songs (although I've never heard of Battle Roy before, personally). The Smeezingtons also added extra production at the end, which is probably why it sounds like Nothin' On You, since they also produced that. :lol:

I'm not sure that it's a sample. It does sound VERY familiar, but it may just be a similar chord progression. The Smeezingtons were probably responsible for it, as it reminds me of Billionaire for some reason.

I was listening to Next 2 You by Chris Brown/Justin Bieber a lot yesterday, and I thought it sounded quite similar to Lighters actually.

I think Lighters is a strong contender for #1 in the US in the next couple of months.

Love the video, really gone off on the song though. Radio has hammered it out over here, it's unlistenable for now at least.
