June 10, 201114 yr I love this woman to bits. I saw her live at The Mobos with Chipmunk and she was outstanding, and she is probably in my top 10 singers, her voice is just gorgeous and she is one of these rare artists that is better live than on record. Also, she is from just a few streets away from me in Glasgow, which makes me love her even more. I have been waiting for this for AGES, and its a shame it has taken to long. Honestly on first listen, I really like the song, and I hope its a reasonably sized hit for her, although it doesn't grab me as a massive hit on first listen. To me though, judging from these YouTube videos, I think she has better songs to come: 2_8jaqX3ebc aWfvqHl86D0 cqBTG-YpDg4&feature=relmfu She also put up a stunning cover of With Every Heartbeat by Robyn, and I mean STUNNING but it seems to disappeared from existence.
June 19, 201114 yr She will join a long list of UK artists that will never get alot of fame or success because they do not get enough promotion on radio or television.Her voice is sublime and beautiful but she needs to take her talent to the US.The British market is too willing to accomadate US acts these days at the expense of UK talent.

I can see her having a very similar career to VV Brown, with one or two small top 40's which should have done so much better.
July 5, 201114 yr Bit mixed on this. Not the best song she's done but it isn't awful I can't see her being huge. Like said above but i never thought of it though, she could go down the VV Brown route. Although VV Brown's material was a hell of a lot weaker and not as commercial (but i don't think she intended to be commericial) compared to the 6/7 songs expected to make Emeli's album. Hmm, who knows.

July 29, 201113 yr Really, really love this. I adore her voice and the whole feel to it. I like how it's quite different to what else is out there atm too. Weird though, I hated both 'Diamond Rings' and 'Never Be Your Woman' so really wasn't expecting to love her music as much as I do.

I heard it for the first time today and thought it was Yasmin! ^_^ However I realised it's much better than Yasmin's new single. I hope this goes top ten, it sounds like a massive tune.
August 14, 201113 yr Yep number 10 on the singles chart but number 1 on the iTunes albums chart. (Strangely for singles, the sales genuinely make a difference and actually get sales - So this should be monitored :lol:) Wretch 32 who is #3 on the singles AND albums chart (slipped a place since last night when he was at 2, behind Emeli.) It's going to be close between them.
August 14, 201113 yr A lot of love for Heaven at the moment, such a great song, love Emeli's voice too. I agree with most on the video, definitely could have been better, but the song is just brilliant, one of my favourites of the year so far. :)
