I agree, it's not a patch on some of his other stuff. It just sounds lazy to me and I don't really know how he gets away with it - cos if you listen to it, it's basically the same riff repeating throughout the ENTIRE song (apart from a few seconds in the middle of the song). If that's not lazy I don't know what is.

That's true. But there's SO many songs like that, not just Bounce. Especially in urban music. I don't mind that sort of thing though, myself.

'Bounce' is a great song and I personally LOVE the riff - it makes the song  I can see why some people would get annoyed after a few listens but as a dance music fan I am used to songs sounding the same all the way through like 'Bounce' although songs that change synth/riff/beat are awsome too (maybe why 'Party Rock Anthem' is such a good song )

Yeah exactly. You get the same in many hip hop songs too. The instrumental is the same few-second long melody repeated for 5 minutes. I don't mind it really, as long as it sounds good.

I'm a dance music fan but I honestly think 'Bounce' is really weak and is just not worthy of going to #1. If it does make it, it'll easily be my least fave UK #1 of the year so far. So, I'm hoping Example's lead on iTunes gives 'CTWYKM' the edge throughout the rest of the week and overtakes Calvin Harris to remain #1 officially for a second week.

Glad Example is at 1 today although there can't be much in it in terms of sale.

What does everyone think to the chances of Katy P going Top 40 by Sunday or is it now realistically going to be next week?

A roar of appreciation for Caro reaching a new peak :cheer:

Nicki up again today to #16!!!! With her being #11 on iTunes I can see her possibly up to #14 this week!

Those mids are still looking dodgy, maybe they are still lagging a days' sales from iTunes, for all we know Calvin could still be #1, if the sales are dead tight.

How could Calvin be No 1, if Example's been in the lead all week on I-Tunes? BTW, good to see him back at the top.. the best song in the top 10 by far AND I approve of his message regarding a certain Ms Lloyd..

errrr.... he does have physicals

An extra 500 copies then! Surely it's been years since a physical copy gave the act an advantage and the #1 (Pixie Lott - Boys & Girls?)

They look correct to me, Example's been ahead all week on iTunes. The new Sunday releases almost always start of higher in the mids than where they finish and it was just a case of waiting for Calvin to fall behind...

oops, actually I didn't realise I posted that comment in the SCP thread, it was meant to be posted else where  I clicked on the wrong topic. :drama: I'm not with it, I'm on another planet at the moment. -_-

How can GaGa album still be at #5 with no.s 21 and 48 on itunes chart. Her physicals must be very very strong.
Because the iTunes album chart is of a very small proportion of total sales. Anyway, it's behind a single, 2 compilations and 2 versions of one album so it's not quite that far down...
I'm actually quite gutted Calvin's dropped down to number 2 :( , hopefully he can recliam number 1 by Sunday

I hope LFN gets top 40! There's only been one week since the release of 'California Gurls' nearly a year ago when we haven't had a Perry track in the top 40 (the first week 'Firework' left the top 40 only to return the following week alongside 'E.T's' first week).

Even more shocking is that Rihanna has had a song in the top 40 every week since 'Russian Roulette' was released :o

I'm glad Example is back at #1.

errrr.... he does have physicals

And what difference does that make? Answer.. Not much now..

Was there not a gap between Te Amo and Love the Way You Lie?
