June 16, 201114 yr WONDERFUL additions. GYC is obviously a favourite of mine, and although 'Monster' still hasn't fully clicked with me, yay Paramore :w00t: Really liking SFTTR, hope it isn't soon savagely murdered by radio like SLY was. Not heard Fast Line. But Lighters is really good.

Hopefully it will grow on me!

June 16, 201114 yr Author Great chart! ;) Surprised that you like The Wanted's new song! I've only heard 'Hitz' once, but I found it boring :( I was expecting something better after 'Blind Faith' and 'Time', seeing as you are a massive C&S fan, could you explain the appeal of 'Hitz' to me. Hopefully it will grow on me! I haven't actually disliked any of The Wanted's previous singles (HV is a little dull though and I hated GF at first before it grew on me). I just really like GYC for some reason :drama: Probably their best single Have you heard the C&S/Dizzee song 'Heavy'? If you don't like Hitz you probably wouldn't like that either. I was always going to love Hitz to be honest, C&S and Tinie Tempah are both among my top 5 favourite artists of the past couple of years (along with Pendulum, Kanye West and obviously The Prodigy) but it's not just the artists, it's a really catchy song with good lyrics too. There's a Wretch 32 remix around which I was worried would be the single version (it completely destroys the transition between Tinie's verses and adds on another completely unnecessary and not very good verse at the end) but AFAICT it is the original they're pushing :D

June 16, 201114 yr Author I have been intending to hear 'No More Idols' for ages, but still haven't got round to it :drama: I'll give 'Hitz', as well as 'Heavy', another listen now :) No More Idols is a great album (well I would say that). I'd definitely recommend it. There are a few average 'fillery' songs on there though (Midnight Caller, Time, Let You Go, Fire In Your Eyes and Embrace - I realise two of those were singles but they're still easily among the weakest on there) Edited June 16, 201114 yr by Bray
June 16, 201114 yr No More Idols is a great album (well I would say that). I'd definitely recommend it. There are a few average 'fillery' songs on there though (Midnight Caller, Time, Let You Go, Fire In Your Eyes and Embrace - I realise two of those were singles but they're still easily among the weakest on there) I heard 'Hitz' again, a lot better this time. Probably when it starts to climb up the charts it will grow on me even more (fickle I know :kink:) I couldn't find the full version of 'Heavy' on YouTube, so I listened to the 30 sec preview of iTunes. It's one of those songs which I can appreciate it's good, and I can understand why people would love it, but it's not really my cup of tea if you know what I mean?
June 16, 201114 yr 1 3 12 Hitz, Chase & Status Featuring Tinie Tempah [3-3-3-3-4-11-28-x-x-x-x-16-10-4-3-3-1] What a great song, a shame that I have to wait a month to buy it :drama: as that is when the single mix is released (NOT the Wretch 32 mix, but a mix with an actual chorus "don't say that I didn't ever warn ya" etc.) 'Blind Faith' got to number 2 on my chart so I can see this doing just as good, especially as it's got Tinie Tempah who's had THREE number one hits on my chart (PO, Frisky and WITS) as well as a massive number 2 (M2I) 2 4 3 Promises, Nero [6-4-2] It's grown on me a bit more, I last heard it on that prediction thread. I might chart it this week 3 2 8 Changed The Way You Kiss Me, Example [26-13-12-13-2-1-2-3] I love this, it'll definitely be in my top 3 next week 4 1 6 Bass Down Low, Dev Featuring The Cataracs [27-20-15-13-1-4] Do you not approve of the Tinie remix? 5 5 5 Save The World, Swedish House Mafia [1-1-2-5-5] 6 29 2 The A Team, Ed Sheeran [29-6] 7 6 12 Sweat, Snoop Dogg Vs. David Guetta [1-1-3-2-1-1-1-3-3-4-6-7] 9 28 2 Man Down, Rihanna [28-9] :o Rihanna doing well here before even going top 30 in my chart SHOCKER. I hope it becomes a single so that I get more interest in it. 10 7 5 Bounce, Calvin Harris Featuring Kelis [27-19-10-7-10] 12 8 13 Guilt, Nero [1-2-5-7-3-2-2-2-5-6-5-8-12] 13 10 3 Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall, Coldplay [21-10-13] 19 12 6 Mr Saxobeat, Alexandra Stan [6-8-8-8-12-19] This is STILL in my top 5  One of the songs of the year for me, really summery 20 13 6 Dirty Talk, Wynter Gordon [18-15-9-15-13-20] 22 NEW 1 Set Fire To The Rain, Adele [22] She never fails to impress, this song is great 23 15 9 Finish Line, Yasmin [19-14-12-9-2-5-7-15-23] 24 20 9 Judas, Lady GaGa [21-8-6-4-6-10-16-20-24] 25 23 8 Beautiful People, Chris Brown Featuring Benny Benassi [20-9-10-9-14-19-23-25] 26 25 4 Louder, DJ Fresh Featuring Sian Evans [25-30-25-26] Future UK number one  Well deserved too! 27 24 7 Give Me Everything, Pitbull Featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack And Nayer [21-19-11-16-18-24-27] I love this tune, Pitbull's best solo track to date. If a song has great dance production by a credited producer, rapping, singing, and is about 'the club', it's gonna get number one in my chart  Great chart :D
June 17, 201114 yr Author 1 3 12 Hitz, Chase & Status Featuring Tinie Tempah [3-3-3-3-4-11-28-x-x-x-x-16-10-4-3-3-1] What a great song, a shame that I have to wait a month to buy it :drama: as that is when the single mix is released (NOT the Wretch 32 mix, but a mix with an actual chorus "don't say that I didn't ever warn ya" etc.) 'Blind Faith' got to number 2 on my chart so I can see this doing just as good, especially as it's got Tinie Tempah who's had THREE number one hits on my chart (PO, Frisky and WITS) as well as a massive number 2 (M2I) 4 1 6 Bass Down Low, Dev Featuring The Cataracs [27-20-15-13-1-4] Do you not approve of the Tinie remix? 9 28 2 Man Down, Rihanna [28-9] :o Rihanna doing well here before even going top 30 in my chart SHOCKER. I hope it becomes a single so that I get more interest in it. 26 25 4 Louder, DJ Fresh Featuring Sian Evans [25-30-25-26] Future UK number one  Well deserved too! Great chart :D 1. Oh, that part is in the single mix? That's one half of the reason I dislike the Wretch 32 mix! That part simply does not work, the 'chorus' was great as it was and the additional bit just makes the transition between verses sound far too clunky to me :( 4. I do prefer the Tinie version but I generally credit songs to the single version regadless of which one I prefer. However, I may make an exception for Vato Gonzalez who I think I'll chart next week - the single version is just HORRENDOUS, so I'll credit it to the original (which is different enough from the single version anyway) 9. Man Down is brilliant, easily the second best song of this era and possibly her third best song ever for me behind DSTM and WMN? :o Shame it's unlikely to get a proper push here and if it does it'll end up missing the top 40 anyway most likely (a la Hard) or peaking really low within the T40 :( 26. I hope it doesn't get #1 as it simply isn't good enough to get there! Although I'll probably start absolutely LOVING Louder once it charts  Edited June 17, 201114 yr by Bray
