Jason Derulo and Vato Gonzalez may be the two highest new releases on iTunes but, like last week with Calvin Harris and Tinchy Dappy, they are easily the worst two new releases this week imo.

Ed Sheeran was the second highest new entry last week. Tinchy started out higher but had been overtaken by Wednesday.

I'm also on Team Example but I'd far prefer Vato to be #1 over Jason.

Indeed, and for that we should be thankful that such a great track has managed to do well whilst up against the not so brilliant 'Bounce' and the truly tragic 'Spaceship'. :D

I am being serious. We need to stop the R and B generic American rubbish from hijacking the charts. A jury will make the chart a lot better and stop crap going to #1.

The day this happens I will stop following the charts. And kill you for suggesting it.. ;)

WHY WHY WHY would you want a jury to dictate to us what was #1? IMO that is one of the most pathetic and ridiculous things I have ever heard chart-related. Ergh, that will never happen, and it better not. <_<

Also The advert for The Radio1 Live Lounge Album is started off with Leona's Run.  The best live lounge cover ever.

On the topic of allowing a jury to dictate the UK charts, it would be an epic failure in terms of representing what's actually popular.

Look at Eurovision and how well Italy benefitted from the jury, and how badly UK - with a decent entry - did without the jury vote. Another example I've mentioned in the past is when the Mercury Music Prize panel chose, of all artists that particular year, Speech Debelle. Can you honestly imagine a chart where a song nobody likes (except for some music snobs) ends up as the UK #1 single?

No, me neither...

Pumped Up Kicks is actually doing quite well? :o

I so hope this goes top 40 next Sunday, it's a great track!

I disagree about the whole image thing. I think their image is great, they are only 14 to 17 and I think its refreshing that they actually wear clothes and don't have to have club scenes in every video. Thats something I can't say about Parade, they come across quite tacky with their image, and the red haired one comes across a bit slutty. I am glad SoundGirl haven't gone down that route.

Which one has red hair?

You can't change the rules of the chart. A music revolution is needed though where real music rules.

Having said that, I'm sure the 70s, 80s and 90s (especially the latter) all had their fair share of embarrassing, quite-frankly-$h!t hits. The 00s and 10s aren't too bad in comparison.

'Next To You' is actually one of my favourites from F.A.M.E. Is that the next UK single? :)

'Perfume' is soooo cheap sounding, but I can't deny how catchy it is. The production is dreadful, though. 'Louder' was much better and that only spent five weeks in the chart so this will probably do much worse.

'Don't Know Why' is quite fresh sounding, and they have a good image but I don't know, i'm not sure how well it'll do in the current chart climate.

'Don't Wanna Go Home' is nothing compared to In My Head, Ridin' Solo or What If. :( And the chorus is a mess.

The video premiered a few days ago so I'm guessing it's the next single :D

Certainly Team SoundGirl this week! As a poster said above, their image is really refreshing and, while the song isn't ground-breaking, it's nice to see a song that isn't the same as everything else in the charts. Hopefully it can go top 20 - but I hope it can go top 10.

Do they have any TV slots lined up?

Well they were performing on Friday Download (CBBC show), Koko Pop recently, and they are sponsors of Keeping Up With The Kardashians on 4Music.

Just realized that Dionne Bromfield (who co-incidently presents Friday Download) has her new song out this week! :yahoo: but it won't chart :nocheer: airplay has been badly timed (Radio 1 picked it up only a couple of weeks ago) and she hasn't been given much promotion. Also its quite a cra* song! : :( Hope her album does well

But if she, Birdy and Soundgirl all make it to the top.40 it would probably be the first time in ages there have been 3 under 18 acts in the Top.40! :o

Calvin isn't going to drop straight out og the top 10 from #2  Tinchy might but I doubt it, there's not much looking likely to go top 10 this week, just Jason and Vato (and even the latter could end up stalling, as it's not climbing that quickly at the moment :()

More good progress for FTP, Hard-Fi, Bizzle and the second version of BR(J). :D

I expect Katy Perry, Lady Gaga & JasonDerulo to enter the top 10 on iTunes knocking out Aloe Blacc, Tinchy & J-Lo

Also criminal that Alexis Jordan - Hush Hush has missed the top 40!

Could anyone PLEASE tell me if any Saturdays remixes are in top 1000 as the top 300,1000 link dosen't work for me!
