I was an instant fan of the new Lauren because it was obvious from the off that she was a much better actress than the dire previous incarnation. This new Lucy seems about as poor acting-wise as the old one though, so it all seems a bit pointless replacing her.

I think Nucy is off to a better start than NuLauren managed during her first few months. Whether the character of Lucy is somebody we needed back is another question altogether.

 

Best of luck to EastEnders tonight for the national tv awards, id love the hat trick but aint in any way confident they will even win anything.

Jacqueline Jossa won the Newcomer award! :D Jessie Wallace lost out on Dramatic Performance in a Serial Drama, but I think EastEnders as a whole has a good shot at winning Serial Drama :D

Lorraine Salter, Mandy's mum, is due to return - originally played by Linda Henry (now Shirley), she's set to be portrayed by Victoria Alcock (Bad Girls). Hopefully she won't be as much of a damp squib as Mandy herself has been thus far.

Thank god that Roxy won custody of Amy! It was ridiculous enough that Jack won short-term, so I'm pleased that there's finally some REALISM going on.
