I agree. I've been finding EastEnders quite boring recently, but this was definitely a great episode and really well acted by Patsy and everyone else involved.

Indeed! Hopefully it's a start of a big bunch of great episodes and storylines! *fingerscrossed*

To be honest I think it's really good right now and has been since Hev's murder. Best story they've had in ages.

Bianca's episode last night was good and allowed us to see Patsy stretched a lot more than she has been in recent times, but the episodes which solely revolve around 1 character do get more than a bit exhausting!

Exhausting how? There's been 3 in the last 18 months hasn't there? I think they're a rare treat. We got to sympathise more with Bianca in those 30 minutes than the last 4 months! I actually cried a little last night, ha ha. It was Carol that set me off.

Well I can sympathise with her, but I also find her quite idiotic as well; what kind of parent shares their money troubles with their three young children, as well as sacrificing her job under those circumstances?

I found the grievous-bodily-harm accusation ridiculous as well though, but I did genuinely feel upset when Bianca realised that she'd done wrong again and would have to leave her kids in the last 5/10 minutes with Carol.

The children shouldn't be treated like idiots, I'm pretty sure they will have noticed for themselves that Bianca has no money. I think screaming at the kids for taking that kitten was the first bit of sensible parenting B did in a long time! Tiffany is a spoiled little brat, she really needs taking down several pegs. I hope she never comes back actually.

Well I can't speak for everybody, but even now at 16, my parents don't like to discuss their money/problems with me or my siblings, so I don't really think it's appropriate to tell 7 year olds. Tiffany's always been a spoilt brat anyway; her and Shaniece are vile.

What exactly is Bianca supposed to have told the kids besides 'we can't afford it'? Tiffany will be more brattish if she thinks her mother can afford the world and yet not buy her sweets.

The storyline is a bit naff anyway. Bianca should be on benefits and it seems so unlikely that she and Carol bring literally nothing home between them. Plus if she was that desperate to steal, surely she could have asked one of her rich uncles for money, considering she'd already swallowed her pride and asked Janine.

The acting was spot on by patzy but the storyline let her down, far too many holes in it, plus i feel her tempory exit was lazy, with Ricky returning they could have let them move for a while or something.
I thought Bianca's storyline, and especially her last episode, was very good and true to life. I'm glad they addressed the benefits issue too because that was one point I was having trouble with - although it DOES seem odd that she and Carol bring in next to nothing when Janine charges them low rent.

I think the circumstances are slightly different here. Bianca is a single mum going through a very hard time. From your post I see your mum is not a single parent and has your dad to help support you and your siblings. I know it's a soap but there are simialr situations happening througout the UK. My mum brought me and my 2 brothers up on her own and tbh, she was is many a shit situation over the years and I saw all of it, and she spoke to us about it. I'm not saying Bianca did everything in the right way, but when your in desperate circumstances, there isn't really a right way. At the end of the day she is human, and stress and pressure take their toll on you. With kids relying on you aswell your bound to lose it sometimes. She's weak and vunerable and I totally understood her outbursts.

Oh and btw, I'm very glad my mum spoke to us about it and I would say it has helped me to go on and strive to make more of a success of myself and helped me to appreciate the value of money big time.

Best episode of Eastenders I've seen in a long time. Great storyline and acting from Patsy who hasn't always got the credit she deserves.

Departures:

Dot - for 6 months; exits in a fortnight

Mandy - permanently in the summer

Tanya! Temporary in 2013

I'm so glad the latter is only temporary, it'll be interesting to see how

---Dot's---

departure leaves the rest of her household, but it'll give

---Cora---

more time to shine I hope.

I'm not sure it will,

Cora works better with Dot than anybody else except Tanya. Hopefully they'll give her a storyline of her own now. I'm gutted that Dot's likely to miss the reveal of Ben as Hev's killer.

Diane

and

Ricky

to

return

for Janine's wedding. I'm pleased, I always love a good

return

.

And it makes the whole set-up a lot more realistic if the close relatives aren't missing! I mean why would Peggy miss Ronnie's wedding when she was basically her mother for three years?

That's very good news! I doubt it, but I would like

to see Diane be in the show for a little longer than she was when she returned for Frank's funeral.

Anthony Moon

leaves in the coming weeks. Hurrah!

Poppy comes back to collect him.

And beside Derek's daughter Alice who makes her debut tomorrow night there's another newbie on the way...

Joey Branning (Derek's son, Alice's big brother)

will appear soon. PHOTO of the actor. Digital Spy article. This can only mean

Derek's ex-wife

is also on the way.

I am APPROVING of that new actor.

It's a shame Anthony is leaving however. He's LOVELY to look at and I hoped they'd actually make use of him eventually. Another Moon casualty.
