I agree with pretty much everyone, Mandy is such a loss to the show. She was fantastic but it would have been nice to see her interact with others more. Scenes with Tanya and Roxy showed potential but weren't really explored.

------Ben----

has been axed as the actor's "been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault"! :o

He'll

film his final scenes this summer. I can't wait to see the back of

him!

In fairness Theo that's a little speculative on your part.

He's leaving in Summer when the story climaxes. Presumably that was always the plan. The alleged sexual assault can't have much to do with it - if he was being axed he'd have a hastily written exit in the next few weeks.

Innocent until proven guilty.

Disappointing final episode for Mandy; she was never brilliant during her time, but her exit on Friday was a lot better than just going back to her hotel room last night.

New character:

Masood's brother, AJ, to be played by Paul Sharma.

Article here.

Disagree on all counts. Mandy was fantastic and the exit last night was better because it was about her, not Ian.

Liking the sound of the new character. A good visual match too!

Her exit in a whole was fantastic. Mandy as a character was FANTASTIC. I will truly miss her, it says it all when she can make a relationship with Ian intresting, big loss to the declining show.

No EastEnders on Monday, and instead there'll be an hour long episode on Wednesday from 8pm. The week after (WB: 11/6), there's no episodes on Monday or Friday. There's still one episode missing with all of that in mind, which I guess will be added in after Euro 2012.
Three marriage proposals coming up this month:

Tanya proposes to Max, Jay proposes to Abi... and Max proposes to Tan!

So EE are lining up what they believe to be a SHOCK new story, except it's surely one that will actually surprise NOBODY, is really quite tediously predictable, and in no way the best way to re-invigorate a tired character already known for this kind of nonsense. The only question is who the second party is.

EastEnders bosses have announced details of a major summer storyline which will see Kat Moon embark on an affair with a mystery lover.

Viewers will see Kat return to Walford later this week, but her problems with husband Alfie are far from over as she starts to fear that the spark in their marriage has fizzled out.

Kat (Jessie Wallace) tries her best to get things back on track with Alfie (Shane Richie), but he fails to realise that she wants the passion back in their relationship.

As Kat isn't getting the attention that she craves at home, she later finds it impossible to resist when someone else starts showering her with affection.

The Queen Vic's landlady is plagued with guilt once she starts cheating on Alfie again, knowing that she is making a huge mistake. However, Kat's attempts to call off her affair prove futile as she cannot resist her new boyfriend.

EastEnders chiefs have confirmed that this will be a long-running storyline, leaving viewers guessing over who the mystery man is for quite some time.

At least five names are in the frame, including Ray Dixon, Michael Moon and Branning brothers Derek, Jack and Max.

Oh dear. Didn't this happen last year? has she been gone so long the writers think we need reminding what was happening before she left?
My money would be on

----- Max -----

to make it the most tired storyline of recent times...

Or it could be

Ben

because, let's face it, it's always him.

Sounds like an awful storyline. Can they really think of nothing new?!

ALSO. I have not watched Eastenders properly for WEEKS. Quick summary anyone?

- Derek has got in touch with his daughter and she has visited him a few times on the basis that he "goes straight" and stops doing illegal things.

- Michael has continued to take money from Jean and she has this week realised what he's up to and revealed all to Janine.

- Mandy left Ian and Ian has gone missing after Ben told him the truth about Heather's death.

- Masood has proposed to Zainab, whilst Afia and Tamwar continue to argue and be unhappy.

I have probably left something huge out but there we go.

Ian had a breakdown when he found out Ben killed Heather. On his wedding day Lucy gave him an ultimatum (her or Mandy) and Ian chose Mandy (LOL) but she felt guilty and left him. Ian was last seen hobbling barefoot down the side of a motorway like a demented penguin and now Lucy is having to look after Bobby and the caf.

Michael conned Jean out of a few thousand quid to pay for the wedding and now she's realised he was scamming her and told Janine in last night's ep.

oh, beaten to it! :D

Apart from maybe Phil blackmailing Ian into not spilling and Janine being owed money from Ian also, that's pretty concise.

Speaking of MONEY, it's all a bit depressing having every storyline involving the square's residents' lack of it. I can't wait for the new executive producer...
