July 3, 201114 yr I think you're all overthinking it and that we're going to see a Britt Love/Chart Music/Havana Brown top three. A few haters are par for the course for ANY song - remember that a winner on average gets just over half the possible voters at best.
July 3, 201114 yr I think Ashton have it won tbh. There seems to be hype around it, and I don't think (at the risk of starting something) I've seen anyone say anything bad about it... Unless it just manages to scrape 5-7's with a couple of 12's thrown in for good measure. Havanna will probably finish 2nd with Britt and Chart Music finishing 3rd and 4th respectively. I'm thinking I'll finish about 6th/7th. I'm gonna just miss out on that top 5 :arrr:

I'd like to hope I can take the remaining top five spot but I've resigned myself to lower top ten now or even lower - not just because of some comments made on here, but also the indifferent reaction it got on the Turntable.fm thing (mind you Sheelah's The Last Time got an even worse reaction and Headhunted got a better one :lol:). I'm still obsessed with it though so it was definitely the right song for me to send :wub: Still, I'm aware that it has its big fans so hopefully it can come top ten! The Romanian dance songs are probably being a little overrated, but Aquafina should be top ten at least, not sure about PRoJ but I don't see it scaling any higher than mid-table.

It's a strange month when Kopecka aren't even being considered for top ten by anyone :o

July 3, 201114 yr This thread is so much more interesting when you know how on the ball people are! That's what I found interesting when I hosted and obviously knowing the results before anyone else, it was interesting when people were saying things like "Le Kid will undoutably be top 5 if not win" only for 'America' to stall outside the top 10. Same with 'Drama Queen' which had been tipped to win and, whilst it did well in its semi final, dropped heavily in points by the time of the final. I don't think anybody during the voting stage predicted a win for Charice. :lol:

It's usually the trashy pop that you pass negative comment on more than anything, but then you did like Smack Me so it's not unheard of! Take those people (I've seen Jonjo, Freeze, Sugabloke, JamesP, Liam and I'm probably forgetting a few), add yourself, add Ashton's usual 3 or 4 ardent supporters, add the other countries that have sent lesser trashy pop songs this month who will surely love it and that's already about 100 points wrapped up. I don't see how you think it could finish bottom ten :o Low top ten at worst...
