July 30, 200620 yr Author 11 (from 8) Sandi Thom - I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/82876849532.JPG The girl that webcast from her basement in Tooting to thousands of people across the globe now releases her debut single 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair)'. The subsequent buzz saw her become the first high profile signing by Craig Logan as he steps into his position at the head of the newly re-launched RCA label. Following the success of artists like KT Tunstall, Sandi should do well with her fairly unique mix of powerful, rootsy, soulful vocals and sparse instrumentation, consisting of only percussion and drums. - HMV track listing 1. July 30, 200620 yr Author 10 (from 7) Nelly Furtado Maneater http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/9859585.JPG Shaping up to be one of the singles of the year, 'Maneater' marks the spectacular return of Nelly Furtado. Co-written between Nelly and hip hop uber-producer Timbaland, 'Maneater' finds Nelly once again going against the grain with a colourful, innovative pop anthem, which is taken from her primarily beat-driven forthcoming album, 'Loose'. - HMV track listing 1. July 30, 200620 yr Author 9 Kasabian - Empire http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PARADISE36.JPG 'Empire' marks the return of Kasabian, the sonically driven baggy revivalists who became the mouthy heroes of 2004 with their self-titled debut album and went on to undisputed victories at last years' summer festivals. Produced by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Editors, Ladytron), 'Empire' is the title track taken from their new album, which is due out at the end of the summer. -HMV UK Release date: 25-7-2006 track listing 1.
