Today's top 100 update (8pm positions as usual)

 

8 new entries today and, in case anyone didn't see this coming, every single one is by Beyoncé following her Glastonbury performance and the release of her new album '4'. Five of them are brand new releases. Four of those five are from her new album (Best Thing I Never Had at #8, End Of Time at #56, 1+1 at #68 and the album version of Run The World (Girls) at #78) and the other is a Live At Glastonbury version of Irreplaceable (#42). The album version of Irreplaceable (#53) is also the highest of the other 3 new entries, which are old songs charting for the first time since 29/05/2011. Halo (#64) and Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) [#79] also make appearances. Bombay Bicycle Club have the only non-Beyoncé top 100 entry, with their new single Shuffle re-entering at #76 after a one-day absence. The Black Eyed Peas are today's double top 100 leavers with both I Gotta Feeling and Just Can't Get Enough exiting - the former is sure to crop up again by the end of the week though. Entries by Hard-Fi, David Guetta, Cee Lo Green, Arctic Monkeys, Rizzle Kicks, Noah And The Whale and U2 also drop out to accommodate the 9 entries.

'Burn' is a fantastic song though. Hope it goes top 40 in the UK. Doubtful though. Is there a video?

Also, Start Without You got top 10 in Begium (see guys, it is a good song :D). It's chart run went 36-17-13-11-10, so it wasn't frontloaded or anything either. It's a weird chart though. There's one week where the top 2 are Well Well Well by Duffy and Dance in the Dark by Lady Gaga, so I don't know how seriously to take it...
