July 1, 201115 yr Average singers?  Fair enough not liking her, but don't spread lies. OK she's not an average singer, she does have a distinctive voice - but the song for me goes nowhere and is boring. :( At least RTW(G) had a good beat (but that was due to the song it sampled) but I don't like ballads unless the singer is really good (ADELE) or if it has a good beat behind it (Rihanna Unfaithful etc.) I think you get what I mean :P Edited July 1, 201115 yr by danielMFAO

I personally love it as ballads are my favourite kind of music, so I'm very glad its done well.

The top 5 is the worst I've ever seen in a long time (Pitbull and Example being the only songs I love and Ed Sheeran being the only song I even remotely like from the rest), Nicki Minaj top 15, Beyonce climbing with her old songs, Enrique doing well (I was hoping it'd flop hard) and JUSTIN BIEBER in the T40 :puke: :puke: Edited July 1, 201115 yr by danielMFAO
July 1, 201115 yr Well I'm not her biggest fan anyway, but I absolutely detest Girls. I'll listen when I get home, to see what all the fuss is about. As much as I don't like many of her songs, I think it's a bit daft to suggest she's an average singer. She's got a great voice. She does annoy me when she just runs and riffs all over the choruses of her songs when she peforms live though. That's a pet hate of mine, just sing the god damn song woman!

I think it's because of the nice beat behind it, but in this song Beyonce's vocals somehow doesn't ruin it for me. Well I'm not her biggest fan anyway, but I absolutely detest Girls. I did say in an earlier post she wasn't really 'average'. Chillax :drama: I agree with the bolded thing, I love Rihanna and Lady GG because they don't strain their voices (CKB aside) Edited July 1, 201115 yr by danielMFAO

It reminds of something Cheryl said on the Hit40UK chart show back in October 2006 (don't know why I remember this!). They were talking about Beyonce's recent hit 'Irreplaceable' and Cheryl said something along the lines of "I actually prefer this record to her last one. I'd rather see Beyonce sing ballads than dancing around like a lunatic in her videos". While I sort of agree with her (I think I preferred the I Am... CD to the Sasha Fierce one), I personally loved 'Deja Vu' and Beyonce is an insane dancer.
July 1, 201115 yr Average singers?  Fair enough not liking her, but don't spread lies. Exactly-Beyonce may not be in the same league as Jennifer Hudson or Christina vocally but her voice has improved tremendously and she is one of the better live vocalists around.I hope there is a faint chance she will do the double as Jasons song is far worse.

You're right - she's not in the same league as Jennifer Hudson or Christina vocally - she's miles better, Premier League for Beyonce; Championship for Xtina and Hudson.

Just never Christina and Jennifer have it all as vocalists-they can easily hit higher notes than Beyonce and there belts are far stronger.Beyonce has improved a great deal vocally but they are Platinum standard and she is Gold.

No, just no. Beyonce and Leona Lewis are the current 2 best vocalists out there. Beyonce may over sing but Xtina takes that aspect to another planet, and isn't melodic whatsoever in any respect; and Hudson shouts way too much.

I'm going to have to strongly disagree with you on those two being better vocalists than Beyoncé (this is coming from a singer's point of view, not a Beyoncé loon's :kink:). Whilst Jennifer and Christina can definitely sing higher than Beyoncé and have more power to their belts, neither of them come even close to Beyoncé when it comes to control, technique or stamina. When Jennifer and Christina riff they go all over the place and more than occasionally go out of tune, whereas Beyoncé virtually never goes out of tune at all, singing the tune or riffing. They also cannot dance and sing like Beyoncé can. She's built up such control and stamina over her voice that she is able to sound impeccable whilst dancing her ass off. Jennifer and Christina mainly stand still or walk around the stage. Christina does dance, but she also becomes very breathy and then has to stop for a while to catch her breath back. The pair of them also can sound very shouty and strained in their live performances, because they over use their voices. Anyway, sorry. That's my rant over. :kink:
