Tbh I think writers and producers should try to get credited in some tracks rather than pointless "vocalists".

'Give Me Everything' and 'Beautiful People' have the producers credited in the titles and so does 'Like A G6'. Hopefully there will be more to come like 'Lady GaGa feat. RedOne' or 'Rihanna feat. Stargate'. :P

I'm following Nayer of Twitter, and she's tweeted about her first single being RedOne produced and featuring Mohombi. Hopefully we'll hear more about it soon! :D

I didn't even know Nayer was on 'Dirty Dancer' Is it another new remix?

And regarding Lauren Bennett and GoonRock on PRA, at least you get to see them in the video (well there is a guy dancing with LMFAO and Lauren in front of the pack, I assume that's him ) Lauren Bennett's part is the middle 8, so I view it as 'important' as if a rapper was doing it. Even though she's just repeating the same line over and over!

Tinie Tempah's part on 'Eyes Wide Shut' has to be pretty pointless too?

I would opt 4 weeks for DJ Fresh, I still think JLS will peak at #2 for some reason hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

Btw, love the siggie :D

I hope you're proved wrong too. I hope it charts lower than #2 :P (no, I really do!!! :( )

The most pointless feature ever has to be Cheryl Cole on the 'UK Mix' of 'Check It Out' - she does nothing but some backing vocals in the chorus.

The Cataracs part of 'Bass Down Low' is pointless too, as it's about 10 seconds long  but tbh they did produce the song :D and in the non TT version they get their part twice

Oh, that was hilarious the first time I saw the 'Check It Out' video with shots of Cheryl Cole included. It's not even her vocals - listen to 'Video Killed The Radio Star' and it's blatantly obvious they've sampled the "ohh ohh" from that song, and made it look like Cheryl is singing those bits. Ridiculous!!!

I think it will be:

10th July: DJ Fresh

17th July: DJ Fresh/ The Wanted

24th July: DJ Fresh/ The Wanted

31st July: JLS & Dev

7th August: Cher Lloyd

14th August: Nero?

I'm not to sure how well The Wanted will do, I think they won't be that front-loaded as I can see 'Glad You Came' having a more widespread appeal compared with their other singles. I think JLS & Dev and Cher Lloyd are certain for #1, but I'm not to sure what will come after Cher Lloyd, she won't be #1 again, and the only 'major' entry I've heard of being released that week is Nero, I'd quite like a Nero #1! ^_^

Akon's part in The Sweet Escape is also pretty pointless - I think its just 'I wanna get away, so why not sweet escape' and some random 'Woohoo's
What's the new Nero track like? I've not even heard this yet. :o

Not as good as their previous two singles but deserves to be T10 despite that. I really hope their album is this year's Pendulum and debuts straight at numbero uno

:o Personally I like it alot more than the other two, it's got higher tempo and is probably the most commericial single so far. I reckon it will probably go top 5, and I recommend it! It features 'Alana' again

This is the 'highest quality' version out there atm, which is a radio rip from Zane Lowe.

Isn't Alana like part of the group, she sings live with Nero iirc and I won't be suprised if she's on every track on the album. She doesn't get a featured credit so she must be in Nero lol

Promises is deffo their best single so far  I can see it being a number 1, as there's not much else out then.

If the video is right in saying (24th July release date) then there's no chance of it being number 1 (JLS is out that week, and Cher the week after)

its released 8th of August according to the release schedule, with the album out a week after, Cher and JLS would've long gone by then so they have a chance - I don't think it will though, but I think top 5 for sure as they are getting bigger and bigger with every release and could do something similar to Example

I don't think this Alana person is an official member of Nero but she's like their official vocalist or something :P I would LOVE Promises to be #1 but unfortunately I think it'd be lucky to outpeak Guilt. R1 haven't playlisted it yet! They'd better do so tomorrow...

Top 100 update is coming, sorry for the delay.

As Chart Wizard said, it's down for 8th August on the release sched - so they could easily snatch it after Cher's one week.

Today's top 100 update (8pm positions)

No new entries today, just four re-entries. Boring. The Clubland 19 version of Alexandra Stan - Mr Saxobeat re-enters at #90. The single version of Lady GaGa - The Edge Of Glory re-enters at #94. The album version of Peter Andre - Perfect Night re-enter at #97. The Black Eyed Peas re-enter again with I Gotta Feeling at #99. Beyoncé makes up three of the four dropouts with the Live At Glastonbury version of Irreplaceable dropping out alongside Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) and 1+1. Katy Perry also drops out with the album version of E.T..

Nicki Minaj needs to get her but into the top 10!!!

I'm being a bit pedantic here, but that's not actually what Cheryl sings in Check it Out. Even though she contributes very little to the remix, you can definitely hear her voice (her actual voice, there is no way anybody could get away with taking vocals from another song and crediting them to Cheryl! :o). She's not actually singing the "ohh ohh" bits (despite the music video making it look like she and Nicki are doing so). You're correct, they are from Video Killed the Radio Star, but they're in the ORIGINAL version without Cheryl Cole too, and it's a credited sample.

In the Cheryl remix, what she does is she basically sings exactly the same parts as will.i.am. But at the same time as him. So you can't really hear her, but if you listen closely her vocals are definitely there. And if you listen to the original and the Cheryl version straight, you can hear a bit of a difference.
