Really sorry I didn't vote, I've had such a hectic week. Brilliant to see Sharam do so well (if I hadn't have had the deduction). Didn't expect it to go top ten!

Congrats to Rich too! and Well done to all the hosts.

Not much happening at the top but UnoShake extend their lead by two further points as both pull slightly further away from Ashton again. Ojnoj become the fourth country to reach 100 points, and both Batidas and Letland close in on the top 5. At the bottom a 10 for Utopia puts them in sight of the top 20 for the first time!

OMG! Did Pavel SERIOUSLY give me 12 points?! Amazing  THANK YOU!

Thank you to all the countries that voted for Misty though! Finally I have a top 3 position and an entry I couldn't be more proud with. FSR Rontvia with another win with Chart Music was very deserved. Another fantastic entry. I really don't know how I'm gonna top Misty now...

Well! After Britt Love being built up so much I was a tad disappointed with 10th place, but still delighted to have my 4th top ten in 5 contests, which would have been inconcievable in the old days!! I can't help but chuckle at the irony of Britt Love flopping for me and Rich going on to win... :heehee:

Thank you so so much to Mark and Matt for stepping in and hosting a fantastic, tense final show. I have no problem with the manipulation of the voting order, and Phil to be honest I'll say to you what I've always thought, and that is if you've had a lousy day don't take it online, especially if you take something like the Buzzjack Song Contest so seriously that there's a chance of it pissing you off even more. The voting order was clearly not done specifically to give one country a massive fall from grace, and if you look at the start, it was manipulated so that FSR Rontvia and FYR Vojvodina were miles ahead - the latter really came out of it worse than you did in the end. Obviously I can understand how this and the deliberate brutal kicking of Prince Saade during the Eurovision results would leave a bitter taste about the voting order being manipulated, so you can present the votes however you want now that you've won - oh no wait...you haven't!

Many congratulations to Rich who did win, with a song that crept up on me in the final week and that I hadn't been crazy about beforehand. That's twice that Herzebania has handed the title to FSR Rontvia! I'm glad you've decided to host the next one - onwards and upwards...it'll be the treble for Herzebania next month!!

Thanks to both countries for giving me 10s, highest points I've ever got  So that leaves me in 25th place with 51 points... not bad for a first contest I guess. Also well done to Chart Music for winning, their song's good (I still wish Havana Brown won though, her song is better imo)

Wow :o 6th in the semi and then 1st in the final! Looks like it grew on a lot of people and/or the Semi 2 people loved it!

Well I was a tried-to-confirm-Chart-Music person :( Second time that happened after Sheelah :(

Glad I didn't shoot myself in the foot with BaNGs 12 :)

Although whereas in the Psycho case we both knew we wanted it and I ended up being the lucky one, I was completely oblivious to the fact that anybody else was after Chart Music  Tirren tried to confirm everything it too.

I noticed that, you're my good luck charm

Thankyou to everyone that voted for me in the final and the semi. and also thankyou to the hosts and peter :D
Thanks Tyron  Is it me or does the Kopecek language keep changing each month

It's you :P It stays the same every month, you can go back and check if you so wish

Well, 14th! I'm actually quite pleased with that given I managed to beat Mike Neilsen and Ellen (which was, as ever, my back-up track which I handed over to Torchwood - I'm going to REALLY get shot in the foot with that one of these days!) and didn't finish too far off from Britt Love - which I'm REALLY shocked came 10th. Something that really deserved to happen with Eva Simons but definitely not here.

If only I'd been a bit quicker on the ball (well, within the five minutes that it was posted online ) I'd have been able to get Chart Music, but alas. 14th place with a track that was something like my seventh or eighth choice really isn't bad going, especially with two 12s!

Oh, and on 'voting manipulation' - to which I say - PUH-LEASE. Would you rather sit through the dullest set of results ever where one country is leading all the way just for the sake of 'purity'? :manson: As long as it isn't REALLY blatant where it's put through, as it was with the last contest (luckily as nobody had done it in YEARS it wasn't too obvious that Herzebania was going to win, but it's not the sort of thing that could be repeated for a while), I actively welcome it - people seem to think it always means building up someone massively and then throwing them down as an act nobody expected surges from the bottom five to win it with the last vote, but that's really only what it is when you do it unsubtly and without any thought. Voting results can still be manipulated to be exciting with the person in the lead still winning you know!

But as others have concluded I doubt this would've really been an issue had it not affected Phil - and I think it says it all that in his summary of what made it so terrible and blatant and obvious he still predicted the wrong winner

Obviously I can understand how this and the deliberate brutal kicking of Prince Saade during the Eurovision results would leave a bitter taste about the voting order being manipulated, so you can present the votes however you want now that you've won - oh no wait...you haven't!

Oh and Peter - I agree generally with your sentiment but I do think that this was a low blow to Phil just for the sake of it!

If I'd done it in 'order received' which wasn't the order received at all it would've got like this.

After 5/40

1 Batidas

2 FSR Rontvia

3 Ashton

10/40

1 Ojnoj

2 FSR Rontvia

3 Ashton

15/40

1 FSR Rontvia

2 Batidas

3 Ojnoj

20/40

1 FSR Rontvia

2 UnoShake

3 Ojnoj

25/40

1 FSR Rontvia

2 UnoShake

3 Ojnoj

30/40

1 FSR Rontvia

2 UnoShake

3 Ojnoj

35/40

1 FSR Rontvia

2 UnoShake

3 Ojnoj

39/40 (one vote to go)

1 FSR Rontvia (14 points ahead)

2 UnoShake

3 Ojnoj

I'm glad that 99% of people weren't bitter and appreciated the effort I put into it to make it exciting and not HORRENDOUSLY BORING like above. Phil didn't also seem very bothered when the voting order had been manipulated for him to be the first to pass 100 points for the first time!

Oh and Peter - I agree generally with your sentiment but I do think that this was a low blow to Phil just for the sake of it!

It wasn't "just for the sake of it," it's because I thought he'd been a bit of a c**t throughout the thread. Besides...low blow? "You didn't win this internet song competition, you just came 4th - haha!" If that is considered a low blow for anyone then I suggest not emotionally investing quite so much in the contest

But OK I'll stop now :P

Rich has won for the 7th time! :o

Which confirms FSR Rontvia to be our own Ireland! :yahoo:

Congratulations, very well deserved!

Now Letland coming 7th on joint 93 points ménage? I did not see that coming! Thought "Safe and Sound" our score us a mid-table position at best!

Thanks for everyone who has voted for it, especially the 12 pointers which felt AMAZING! :w00t:

Moreover, I did not see Capital Cities winning the Semi-Final, and they did! True shock, :o , if only I'd voted!!

Letland will officially withdraw for the next edition (sorry GD!), as I will be away, but we'll comeback in August with, hopefully, another crowd pleaser of a track!

Cheers everyone!

This is the Ashton's FIFTH #4. CRAZY.

I know right! And 3 of them so recently. It's nuts that until the One Big Final a top was a rarity and since I won I've missed it twice and once by a single point.

Oh and thankyou for all the thanks, it's much appreciated and I enjoyed doing it, even though it meant I spent most of my day on it! :D

Ditto - plus I made a mistake!

Aside from my aformentioned displeasure at the voting manipulation, the presentation was excellent. The co-hosting ran very smoothly everything was presented well and it was all very efficient. It was a great job, thank you for volunteering at the last minute to do so.

Line crossed.
I'm sorry but aren't we breaking the ties by the number of votes first, then 12's, 10's, etc. This way Batidas finished 4th and Ashton - 5th.

And the 93 points tie should be

06 Hendinia: 17 votes

07 Letland: 16 votes

08 Vojvodina: 14 votes // two 12's

09 Aquafina: 14 votes // one 12

:o

Kluminican Rep & Allecian should switch places too.

Which means the inevitable decrease in future entries' quality? :kink:

This is true actually going by the system we usually use. The predicta results would be a little different too no doubt but I'm not working it all out again :P

I'm thinking of finding a diabolical live performer for my next entry! Any ideas? So far I have Dervish and Jedward in mind!

I'm thinking of finding a diabolical live performer for my next entry! Any ideas? So far I have Dervish and Jedward in mind!

If it's the former I'm already preparing the place for my new favourite BJSC entry ever, which will have knocked Headhunted off the throne by the time of BJSCXXXVII! :D

Which means the inevitable decrease in future entries' quality? :kink:

Haha!

Can't wait for FSR Rontvia's version of "Rontviae 12 points"!

I'm a bit confused too, I broke the ties using the "most votes" method and sent the hosts a message with this info in it but it seems to have changed at some point between then and the final scoreboard being posted...
