I think there'll be a lot more million sellers on a regular basis with some downloads being so cheap, I can remember when Will sold his 1.8 million you only had 2 options, go to a shop to buy, his cd's were £3.99 :o and cassettes were £1.99. Does everyone think it's easier to buy your music now?

Yes, it is far easier to buy Music, now. In the past many people never went into Music Stores, but now they can buy Tracks

without even leaving the house. They can also buy them whatever the weather - in the past, if there was snow or ice outside,

or heavy rain, people would only go out to buy food, etc., rather than bother to get to HMV etc., to buy CD's.

On top of this, we have Downloads being available 24/7, 365 Days a Year, & so Tracks can keep on selling - no longer

only being able to sell, if the Stores had copies of them in stock.

Totally wrong surname for him.

And they dedicated half of an 'article' about her sales to her diet?

And finishing off with a cheap shot about the Koreans eating dogs.

Is there a list of the fastest to a million?. I know Elton John and Will young did it in a week, but who was the fastest apart from charity and Talent show songs.
So I assume JTWYA will be the next one. less than 15k to go apparently.

CD singles went up to £3.99 in 1998 after years of buying cd singles (with more tracks for that matter) for up to £2.49 - I actually stopped buying cd singles from then onwards because whilst the price increased, the content decrease ( ) so you were paying more but getting less. That was the first signs for the death of the cd single imo. Had those rules/regulations never changed in 1998, I reckon people would've still been quite to buy a cd single at £1.99 with up to 3 b-sides or up to 6 remixes (depending on what you prefered) by the mid 00s.

Co-incidentally, albums became cheaper in the early-mid 00s so it was no surprised that between 2002-2006 albums sold bucketloads whilst cd singles sold next to nothing (except for the annual charity or X Factor winners single).

Since the rise of downloads, people can buy singles or cherry pick tracks from albums which costs less than buying the equivalent cd single in 2003. However, the rise of cherry picking has affected album sales.

It's much easier to buy music now. Unless you're a traditionalist who likes to feel the cd case and look at the booklet that comes with the cd.
