July 9, 201114 yr 49, 47 and 45 for my nominations :manson:. Maybe I went a little too unknown. I like all the qualifiers though, so all good. :D
July 9, 201114 yr The best song of the year (SHM & Pharrell) qualified :cheer: That, WITS, Starry Eyed, Not In Love (!!!) and The Flood aside though, what an awful list of qualifiers. How on EARTH did Not In Love qualify? Not pleased about Watercolour coming last (although it'd be a bit higher if I'd actually remembered to vote... they'd still be nowhere near qualifying though) Edited July 9, 201114 yr by Bré
July 9, 201114 yr Two of my nominations getting through ^_^ (Happiness and Acapella) And then 'Barbra Streisand' coming 16th! :drama: Too much bland female pop got through :( Pixie Lott, The Saturdays, Gabriella Cilmi, Ellie Goulding x2, Shontelle! Although I didn't vote for it, I'm glad 'Not In Love' got through as it's something a bit different too everything else that has qualified.
July 9, 201114 yr Author I'm surprised about 'Not In Love' but at the same time I'm not. It is pretty loved on here and ran away with the Alternative Song of the 2010 vote, miles ahead of anything else. It was ranked either 1st or 2nd 6 times, only one other song had more than 3.
July 9, 201114 yr sorry to moan, but that list of qualifiers isn't great :( I voted for a few of them admittedly, but there was so much better that missed out and Train, Mumfords, Runaway and Watercolour all flopped  Crystal Castles is a pretty big surprise though :o Edited July 9, 201114 yr by Chart Wizard
July 9, 201114 yr Author sorry to moan, but that list of qualifiers isn't great :( I voted for a few of them admittedly, but there was so much better that missed out and Train, Mumfords, Runaway and Watercolour all flopped  Crystal Castles is a pretty big surprise though :o I wouldn't have said 'Little Lion Man' was that much more popular than 'The Cave' but one qualified fairly easily and the other never stood a chance. It does show the difference the non-voters had made, if more 'alternative' voters like Bre, Charlie and Harve had voted in this one it less female pop might've qualified, but then if those who only voted in this had voted in 2009, I'm pretty sure Britney, The Saturdays and Mini Viva would've qualified making the qualifiers less varied.
July 9, 201114 yr 30th for Stromae and Lena came shockingly close into making it further for a Eurovision song :o Decent enough qualifiers, pleased that The Flood has gone through!
July 9, 201114 yr On the whole, not a huge amount to complain about. It was going to be a struggle for Nadine anyway, and Kelly/Gabriella/Kelis are through anyway. Dissappointed Adam Lambert didn't do all that well though.
July 9, 201114 yr Too much bland female pop got through :( Pixie Lott, The Saturdays, Gabriella Cilmi, Ellie Goulding x2, Shontelle! Essentially this. The 2009 results showed much promise, but this one just fell totally back in typical Buzzjack form, where any old shite will get voted through so long as it's sung by a characterless female. Turn It Up is possibly the most forgettable chart "hit" of the past two years. Completely generic drivel.
