July 10, 201114 yr June 2010 - Dizzee Rascal 'Dirtee Disco' - fell to #4 on its second week having debuted at #1. Spent only 5 weeks T40 and 11 weeks T100. July 2010 - JLS 'The Club Is Alive' - fell to #7 on its second week having debuted at #1. Spent only 7 weeks T40 and 11 weeks T100. September 2010 - Alexandra Burke 'Start Without You' - fell to #5 on its third week having spent 2 weeks at #1. Spent only 7 weeks T40 and 13 weeks T100. I can't see Derulo falling THAT much on its fourth week though - another 2/3 weeks in the T10 is looking likely. Derulo will do a lot better then all these 3 examples, i'd say a lot longer in top 40, more like 10-15 weeks.
July 10, 201114 yr I'm really shocked this is as high as number 2, I just didn't expect it  its very average as well great number 1 though, will be great to see the sales :D
July 10, 201114 yr I doubt he'll get #1 with You Need Me, but it's probably a cert for another top 3 hit and his album is going to be MASSIVE. I reckon he will, his profile is growing very quickly and You Need Me has always been his most popular song before he signed to a major, even moreso than The A Team. I could see it opening with 80k+ as it will obviously be held back with loads of advance airplay, it just depends what he's up against as to whether it's enough for a #1 I guess...
July 10, 201114 yr The dubstep revolution claims its first #1. And it's off to a terrible start as one of the worst examples of the genre is the song to do it (still good though). Meh. Hopefully Nero can somehow become the first *good* dubstep #1 in a few weeks' time... :P
July 10, 201114 yr What's caused Ed Sheeran's sales to perk up so much in the second half of the week? He was a non-mover at #6 in the Wed update. Everything else in the top 13 today is either the same as Wed or just one place out.

And I HATED Gold Dust.
July 10, 201114 yr Louder is one of the best examples of Dubstep i'd say, its great, i love listening to it in the gym as it acts as such a good motivation tune!

July 10, 201114 yr Why does everyone seem to think the new Nero song will be so huge? I've not heard it so is it really that much better than their previous two hits to somehow go so much higher?
July 10, 201114 yr Btw just found out that this weeks #41 was champagne showers, will this ever be top 40?!?!?
July 10, 201114 yr Louder sold 140,000 copies :o ah, just 10k off Grenade's first week :( still incredible sales :D
July 10, 201114 yr Why does everyone seem to think the new Nero song will be so huge? I've not heard it so is it really that much better than their previous two hits to somehow go so much higher? Another case of growing profile/genre I guess. I still like Me & You the most out of all of them but Guilt was bigger than that and Promises will be bigger than Guilt.
July 10, 201114 yr DJ Fresh has done for dubstep what ATB's '9pm' did for trance in 1999 - its first number one, a dance genre that had been building up over the years but finally hit its commercial peak this/that year. Yeah there's better examples of dubstep than DJ Fresh - and better examples of trance than ATB - but both are still really really good. And summery! Definitely one of my fave number 1s of the year :D
