Go fake Skyscraper, climb high, fast :D Maybe the record company would pay attention and release it on Sunday. Yes it's not getting UK airplay, but I feel like it could start off well and get bigger and bigger as it builds up. Demi already has some kind of UK fan-base (like Selena), and the song was all over Twitter and possibly other social networking sites.

Skyscraper could be a future #1 on the Hot 100 in the future if it holds up well. Although I thought it would be frontloaded initially at least, but it's still at #1 now.

Poor Jason Derülo, he's #6 and still doesn't get mentioned in the update :P

Speaking of which, the top 100 update is coming soon.

Today's top 100 update

For the second time in four days, I Gotta Feeling is the only song dropping out. This time it's replaced by a re-entry for Wretch 32's Unorthodox (feat. Example) at #93. Expect Wretch to be back near the top of the chart a few weeks from now when he releases his third single Don't Go (feat. Josh Kumra).

Go Robyn! Never thought she'd end up even as high as she is!
Yeah. Not normal people though, only the crazy Lady Gaga fans (of which she has a lot). I'm sure some Rihanna fans did the same too though, although her general fanbase seems to care less about her winning these sorts of things than Lady Gaga fans.

I agree.

I remember there was an aggressive Ga Ga fan when BTW came out, using things people had said about her from a thread that had died weeks before against them . I also said I didn't like the new songs, and they told me I was insulting her because she had worked "Her ass off for two years to make the best music possible". I am allowed to dislike a song.

There is nothing wrong with loving an artist, but you can't just attack someone for having a different opinion - especially on something as minor and subjective as music.

I really hope they release Skyscraper in the UK on Sunday, but I doubt they will :( Has it been released in any other countries besides the USA and Canada?

^ I don't even mind the differences in opinion that much tbh (since I like songs such as My Humps, Beep, Ayo Technology, Heartbroken, Game Over, etc. I do have to get used to people mocking my music tastes ).

It's just the overratedness. They way people were obsessed with her in 2009. I've never seen anything so ridiculous in my life. People were calling her "Queen of pop" BEFORE Just Dance had even charted in the UK. Queen of pop before you've released your first single!? Seriously? I mean, come on people! I know they got popular in other countries the year before, but that just seemed so ridiculous to me. Then I heard the song (Just Dance or Poker Face) and it was so terrible.

It's probably how some people felt disappointed when they heard Born This Way due to how much hype it got, that it didn't live up to their expectations. Except that's what I had with Just Dance/Poker Face. It might've been different if I had listened to them early 2008 before all the hype.

Absoloutley GUTTED that Colplay - Fix You has fallen to number 48 when it has been in top 40 all week, such a shame as it probably won't get top 40 now :((

410. Wretch 32 - Traktor - I heard this again on the radio today. I forgot how good it was.

469. T.I. - Live Your Life    This looks like an iTunes top 1000 staple now. I've never seen it not in there before.

591. Dizzee Rascal - Holiday - This song is so summery. I think it'll get back in the chart every summer for years. So good. It's got another entry at #905 too! :o

607. Black Eyed Peas - Pump It - This is another iTunes top 1000 staple. A lot of BEP songs move in and out, but this always seems to be there. It's amazing though.

637. Tinchy Stryder - Game Over - Another classic. This will be one of those songs people look back on in the future to see what the UK rappers of our time were like.

Leona Lewis' single 'Collide' is out September 4th.

  Hopefully bring it forward a week or two.

There isnt much movement today really.

Till I'm Gone  #36 possibly make top 40 officially this week..

SFTTR still #12, and Superbass still #11.

Leona Lewis' single 'Collide' is out September 4th.

I am glad as hopefully that means Pixie pushes her release forward for the #1 spot, as Leona is massive competition. I hope Pixie pushes her release forward to Aug 15th as there is nothing out on that date very noteworthy, and could be a third #1 for her, leaving us with Olly at #1 the week after and Leona could get it the week after that.

If Pixie stays at September 4th however, there could be 3 possible top 10 entries from her, Leona and Sugababes. I am looking forward to seeing how these songs do, so that would be a very intresting chart week indeed.

Basically, if they release club bangers, they'll be the top 3, and if they release something different, they will flop.

I disagree. Adele? Even a fake version of 'Skyscrapper' is making an impact, showing that could actually do quite well. Ballads are actually quite in at the moment. Sugababes and Pixie's fit the club banger breif and Leona's new song has been describes as mid to up tempo aswell, so by your therory, they should all do just fine.

Skyscraper could be a future #1 on the Hot 100 in the future if it holds up well. Although I thought it would be frontloaded initially at least, but it's still at #1 now.

It's a decent song, but Demi's voice just doesn't sound strong enough for it. It needs someone with a real power ballad voice, like Adele or Mariah.

I wish Mariah would come back into music. :( The charts are in desperate need of her imo. She had so many good songs.

I'm glad Mariah isn't making songs anymore, she's just as bad as Beyonce, imo (especially "we belong togetherrrrrrrrr"). I like AIWFCIY, but none of her others. :( :(
