August 6, 201113 yr I think, at the end of the day, we shouldn't really get annoyed at other members on here. It's just the Internet. I find it shocking that people on this forum can get so worked up about other posters. On most other forums I go on, sure, people have heated debates, but they don't then hold grudges against the member they disagreed with for months. And ironically, I think this forum probably has the most sensible members out of all the ones I use (or maybe that's the problem).

There is no reason to hold grudges against people in real life either.
August 6, 201113 yr So now the Sugababes have moved Freedom to 19th September, it's Leona vs Pixie vs Sats. Looking at the Airplay chart from Sunday 31st July.. #53 Pixie Lott - All About Tonight #79 The Saturdays - All Fired Up #-- Leona - Collide And when you look at the rolling 7-day Airplay chart today... #46 Pixie Lott - All About Tonight #-- The Saturdays - All Fired Up #-- Leona - Collide Surely this is a good enough indication of where things will chart now, surely? It dosen't matter if you have sold x amount of millions off the back of X Factor or whatever, those people baught Leona's records because they liked the genre back then, now she's got a 'new' sound she's going to have to re-connect with her fanbase and the court case isn't helping. Pixie Lott is showing the most strength at the moment and her video has been out there for a good few weeks now so it's getting very decent airplay already which a massive bonus. This will play to her advantage when it comes to 4th September. The Saturdays will be increadibly front loaded as they have All Fired Up coming out on tones of different platforms. They've got the CD1 + MAXI CD + Vinyl on their website (= 3 sales) which all of them can be purchased seperately too (I think), then there's the iTunes pre-order bundle, the iTunes remix EP, the physicals formats in HMV etc. They're dropped out of the Top 100 airplay at the moment, but the video is out on Tuesday, and they're starting promotion already in the next 1-2 wks. My money goes on Pixie for #1 at the moment going by the Airplay chart.
August 6, 201113 yr There is no reason to hold grudges against people in real life either. Yes, true. I just think it's silly. It seems literally everybody on this forum hates like 10 other members, and is, in turn, hated by a dozen other members. It's just ridiculous. Never seen anything like it. On other forums you have to do something really extreme like try and hack the forum to get hated. On here you just use a smiley that some people happen to not like, and then that's it, you're done.
August 7, 201113 yr Where did you get 53 and 79 from? They were 51 and 99... Here: http://www.ukairplaychart.com/c/?export=&a...kly&length=
August 7, 201113 yr Liam after reading back what you said on your buzzrate.. I agree now. Wow, You would think they're Leona Lewis herself.
August 7, 201113 yr Liam after reading back what you said on your buzzrate.. I agree now. Wow, You would think they're Leona Lewis herself. See, I was just stating the truth
August 7, 201113 yr Okay as you seem to be in love with Sugababes do you want to list me the achievements of the CURRENT sugababes..(as in Amelle, Jade and the blonde one - dont know her name) I'm sorry, that is the most narrow-minded/ignorant thing I've ever read on Buzzjack. Edited August 7, 201113 yr by Griffo
August 7, 201113 yr Oh sweet JESUS. My good god you are delusional Karma. 1] Leona has not sold more records than the Sugababes. I don't quite know where you are getting this 20m WW figure from other than your arse as Echo died on it's arse outside this country from what I remember. The Sugababes have sold over 8m records in the UK alone and are credited as the best selling act of the 21st century in the Guinness book of world records. 2] Regardless of the fact that 1.0 =/= 4.0 the line up change did not come in one swoop and have been a decade in the making. The BRAND NAME that the songs are released under and the sales are counted towards has never changed, thus all sales are credited to the Sugababes. You babling on about GA re-appearing tomorrow with 5 new members is just horse shit as the Babes have had 4 line up changes to get to the point where there are 3 non-Originals. One of whom has been there for all but 0.5m worth of sales. Now I am against Heidi being labelled an original Sugababe, but she's been there a decade and credit where it's due she has been there for all the commercial success. 3] Like Pavel said, do your research. With over 25 singles, 7 studio albums and a Greatest hits the Sugababes have far more material to gather sales, thus saying Leona has out sold them with just two albums (regardless of how well Spirit did) is just retarded. Plus the Sugababes managed their sales without a deluxe edition, rereleases and the last album being out sold by Mutya Buena by nearly 10:1. You need to loon the fuck down. Leona isn't the second coming, she hasn't outsold everyone in the history of the world and you need to learn when you are incorrect and just admit to making a loon driven error. You can try to come back at me if you want, but I challenge you to find someone on this site with a better knowledge of that band than me so trust me when I say that they trounce Leona's domestic sales.
August 7, 201113 yr Here: http://www.ukairplaychart.com/c/?export=&a...kly&length= Thanks for this link, I see Will has managed to achieve no. 16 with no airplay from radio one or capital, - fantastic, and another 2 weeks until release :cheer: Anyway, focusing on this debate, Collide is seriously awful and Leona needs to not be a puppet for Cowell, ('go there and record this song and don't worry about where it came from'), she needs to take control or she will fade away. I only heard Pixie's song once, maybe it needs more listens, because it didn't make an impact. Not heard the Saturdays, so can't really comment.
August 7, 201113 yr How exactly did 'Jealousy' get all those plays?! I'm shocked, but it's easily the best thing he's done (although I'm perhaps not his demographic).
August 7, 201113 yr How exactly did 'Jealousy' get all those plays?! I'm shocked, but it's easily the best thing he's done (although I'm perhaps not his demographic). I assume it's Radio 2. It probably didn't get that many plays, but that station has such a huge audience that it can chart very high off fewer plays.
August 7, 201113 yr I assume it's Radio 2. It probably didn't get that many plays, but that station has such a huge audience that it can chart very high off fewer plays. It's had a fair few plays. Unfortunately none from the two major stations that influence the singles chart. Still I'm sure the airplay bodes well for his album which is far more important. 16 Jealousy 30.60m impacts 1,413 plays Commercial Chart 72 Jealousy 7.09m impacts 1,259 plays Back to the chart battle, I've only heard Leona's & Pixie Lott & in my opinion neither are anything special. Can't see the Saturdays hitting the top spot so I hope it is something else.
August 7, 201113 yr Oh, what have I missed. The problem of Leona is that basically all her career is formed on one hit that is 'Bleeding Love'. I don't count the X-Factor single, as you could release the song named 'Some Leona Loon Is a Retarded Turt' as an XF-winner single and still get hundreds of thousands of sales. 'Better in Time' was a big hit too, but no one remembers about it this time. And with the second album she kinda faded away. Yes, the albums sales were still strong, but the tendency spoke for itself: she was diving, especially singles-wise. And the tendency is that you still NEED an appealing hit single not to lose the albums sales, especially in the pop climate. The idea of the new sound is exactly what she needs, but even that is messed up now totally. On the other hand, Sugababes didn't have such a big selling single, but they have a bucketload of European top-3s and are remembered for hell a lot of songs, not just one. The same with the Saturdays, but to a lesser scale, and only in the UK. They are releasing a hit after hit, and although their albums aren't selling enough, but they are not dipping with their relevancy. I don't know about Pixie, but she doesn't seem to dive away too, as her new single is probably going to be a hit of a 'Mama Do' / 'Boys and Girls' size.

I've heard her song and video several times but not heard Leona once on TV/radio yet although I think it is starting to get played. Pixie's song is a very catchy tune.
August 7, 201113 yr Reading this thread has bored me. :smoke: What the hell are people even arguing about? Leona VS Sugababes is one of the weirdest fan wars I've come across.
