One of her songs was 59p anyway, so that'll already be high up anyway.

I feel really upset now. She's really young. :(

probably won't shoot up in the style of Michael Jackson, but I think one or two (probably Rehab or Valerie) will re-enter the top 40

R.I.P :( and at such a young age it is really tragic, although with all her problems, its hardly that shocking unfortunately :(

Only 27 years old. I wasnt even a fan really never listened to much of her music but its devastating for her family, friends & fans. :(

Is it wrong that I came in here and knew there would be discussion about her iTunes positions, and how there may be some much need excitement in the charts as a result?!

She is yet another victim to the 27 curse (or to be more positive about it, she's another member of the 27 Club)

Well it's an iTunes thread and it's obviously going to happen. I don't see why it shouldn't be mentioned just because it may be slightly distasteful...

Um, I don't get the impression anybody who posted about it was "excited".

I was listening to Valerie when I heard the news and I was taking a break from researching the 27 Club.   Ironic, much?

I feel sorry for her parents, all of that worry and now this :(

I hope some good comes out of it and a lesson goes out to all the people who take drugs and abuse alcohol

shame such a talent has gone though :/

'Science & Faith' by The Script is up to #3 on the albums chart thanks to their iTunes Festival performances no doubt :D Brilliant album. Really pleased with how well it's done for them.
Back To Black for number 1! She was seriously one of the best voices of this generation, I'm so upset

It's already started. Back To Black's already at #178. A shame really, she was talented but it was inevitable especially after those concerts she tried to do recently.

They were on the Rob Brydon show last night on BBC2.

It was already there on account of it being one of the songs selling at 59p.

I don't know if it's true, but apparently her father is on a plane atm, and doesn't have a clue what's happened. :(

And you're right about the drugs and alcohol, but I bet there's hundreds of thousands of young people getting ready to go out and get drunk tonight, and they'll hear this news, but they'll still go. :(

Oooh they were? Think I'll have to youtube that at some point then :D Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they played at the end as I switched off when the 'comedian' came on. But they'd already performed a duet (of sorts) of 'Heroes' by David Bowie, with Rob Brydon and Matt Lucas.

What a shame! She had amazing talent, horrible to think that she's never going to be releasing another record. Hopefully she's alot safer now <3

Time to put on Back To Black. :(

153. Back to Black - Amy Winehouse

Nothing else in the top 300 yet.

Albums chart:

111. Back to Black - Amy Winehouse

256. Back to Black (Deluxe Version) - Amy Winehouse

I am in disbelief! Such a waste of talent, especially at a young age and what is worrying is she's the same age as me! RIP Amy, my thoughts with your family and friends xx My favourite songs by her were "In My Bed", "F--- me pumps", "Rehab", "Back To Black" and "Love Is A Losing Game". Strangely enough I heard "Valarie" in the carvery I had lunch at today!

I hope in tribute Amy gets a #1 hit.
