Well its still not very much considering all the exposure she has had from the x factor. I'd be highly surprised if she makes it big in America when other much more successful acts like Kylie and Robbie Williams have tried for years and never made it.

But come on now. Did you really expect someone like Cher Lloyd to sell albums? (I'm still confident this will reach about 230k when it's all mostly said and done) She's definitely one of those that's more marketed towards singles success and will shift a few albums along the way. I'm thinking she'll sell well enough to climb back into the charts in the new year. Especially with 'Want U Back' round the corner. People talk about her, constantly. Even when her singles have fallen out of the charts (hence why 'Sticks + Stones' managed to stabilise and stay top 40 as long as it did whilst 'With Ur Love' was falling.

Also the US' taste is completely different to ours. (Hence why Kylie - apart from the odd entry or two, CGYOOMH went top 10, didn't it? - and Robbie never made it that big in the US.) The Spice Girls were one of a very special and rare kind. I'm still unsure on Cher's success in America. I know she'll flop, but something keeps telling me she'll actually have a decent-ish shot at become successful. Especially if she uses her links with Lil Wayne well enough. (I also think 'Beautiful People' and 'Grow Up' could do decently over there. Particularly the former. But yeah. Her success is set to go either way.

I knew her album wouldnt sell well from the start. Like quite a few other x factor finalists, she only has an average voice at best and lacks real appeal to carry off a successful music career in the UK. I agree the American market is different but the point I was trying to make is its a lot tougher to make it over there and I really don't think she would be taken seriously enough.

I have an American friend who said that Cher was a huge focus point a few months ago because of Swagger Jagger, but for all the wrong reasons. Apparently people were comparing her to Rebecca Black and what not. So it doesnt look good for her. But I suppose those comparisons were made in the UK and that didnt do her any harm.
I don't understand where this idea that you have to be the next Mariah to be successful in America came from considering Katy Perry and Ke$ha are two of the most successful popstars the US currently has. Of all the things that could hold her back, I don't think having an average voice is one of them. Admittedly it makes her live performances less impressive but I can't see Americans seeing her and thinking "You know, her voice is not entirely up to scratch. I must hate all her musical output now".
She may make it in the US, but certainly not with the first 2 singles she's released in the UK. At best, she'll become another Jessie J and end up with 2-3 BB100 hits and a Top 40 album.

I've just listened to this album and I have to say that I am very impressed with it. It's one of the most instant albums I've heard in the last year and actually has a nice mix of experimental, less commercial stuff and a few with really good single potential. I was under the impression it'd all be bratty 'Swagger Jagger'-style attempts at having 'swag' and being mainstream at the same time, but it's not. I think her image has just been handled terribly - largely down to her own personality, probably. If it wasn't for that, I think this would be selling a lot more as it's really quite strong.

'Beautiful People' and 'Want U Back' are highlights for me.

Does anyone know how much the album has sold thusfar?

Only just found out about this (rather beautiful) song 'Love Me For Me'...

I can see why it was left of the album, as it's rather dated in sound, but I really, really love it! Would be a nice B-Side or something.

I love Love Me For Me  It leaked just before we found out the tracklist iirc and I really wanted it to be on the album - I can see why they left it off now though as Jonjo said.

I've now finally come round to 'Dub On The Track'!

WORK HARD, PARTY HARDER.

For some reason I expected Dub On The Track to be a lot more hated than it actually is, it seems to have quite good reception actually!

@SkyNewsFeed: Cher Lloyd is in police custody on reports of shop-lifting from Sports Direct. More to come.

HAHA.

Going to the tour tonight! Can't WAIT. Has anyone here been to one of her previous shows this past week or two? :D

My friend went and he said he loved it. :)

I went on Sunday and it was amazing! She sounded really good.

Only problem was, it was too short. She was only on stage about 45mins :(
