The entire top 6 is so close together.... the entire top 10 actually is :o

I hope something totally unexpected happens soon if the top 10 are so close together.

Maybe like Rizzle Kicks getting to #1 or something. :P

The top 10 isn't *that* close, I'd say 1-4 are close, 6 & 7 are close and 8 & 9 are close with 5 and 10 being quite distinct.

In fact, 1 and 2 aren't even really *that* close. But 2-4 are within about 4% of each other.

Headlines for top 40 please

The Kaiser Chiefs sales are in EXTREME poor taste. Do that many people think it's funny?

This! Why buy a song because of the sense of irony?

50 Drake/ Headlines

It's doing brilliantly so far! :D Good off such little promotion. Hopefully a top 20 hit if a lot of radio stations play it.

Probably that's the reason why are buying it.

Still it is a bit wrong to be honest.

As I speak now:

88 I Predict A Riot

I couldn't agree more. I think it's terrible.

I remember when I Predict a Riot got popular the first time, and people at school used to randomly start singing it whenever people started getting angry (which usually fuelled the arguement even more).

David Guetta could go top 10 if he doesn't slow down! :o

This needs a video as soon as possible. As things stand, it could very well be #1 in the future. Maybe mid-late September.

Does anyone know what day exactly the Jessie J video is coming out?

Today's top 100 update

Four new entries today. Canadian rapper Drake entered and left the top 100 a few days ago with 'Marvins Room', a hype track from his second studio album 'Take Care' - now he enters at #50 with the first proper single from the album, 'Headlines'. Drake only has one UK top 40 hit in his own right ('Find Your Love', #24 last year) but has 3 other top 40 hits as featured artist to Lil Wayne, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. Legendary Jamaican reggae band Bob Marley & The Wailers have significantly more top 40 hits, the highest peaking being 1983 #4 hit 'Buffalo Soldier'. Their song 'High Tide Or Low Tide' (from 1983 album 'Catch A Fire') has been released as a charity single for Save The Children and enters at #77. Leeds indie/rock band Kaiser Chiefs enter at #91 with their 2004/5 #9 hit 'I Predict A Riot' for obvious reasons. And finally the 'Modfather' Paul Weller enters at #99 with his new single 'Starlite'. Rihanna and Bad Meets Evil feat. Bruno Mars have re-entries ('S&M', #94 and 'Lighters', #98 respectively). Salt-N-Pepa, Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Amy Winehouse, Nicole Scherzinger and Jessie J have entries drop out to accommodate the 6 top 100 entries.

I would imagine a good amount of the people buying it, are the same people who are in these riots. I agree though, in such poor taste.

I totally saw that one coming

I highly doubt that, they would all be downloading illegally. I'm pretty sure none would even have an iTunes account.

I do kind of sometimes wish illegal downloads were counted in the chart. If they were all included, Game and Drake would probably be top 10 atm.

I think only counting legal downloads favours the music of the very old and the very young (i.e. Adele and Cher Lloyd), and hinders the music that teenagers like (e.g. Nero, Kanye/Jay-Z, etc.).

But obviously only paid downloads should count towards the chart. I was just saying.
