Been unable to comment on the forum since last week, it's been driving me mad.

I'm thrilled to see Wretch 32 and Emeli Sande battling for the #1 spot - although Sande would be a rather random #1 single - considering she's relatively unknown bar a few appearances in the T10 from a few years back and writing credits. Either getting #1 would have me pleased, but I pre-ordered Wretch 32's 'Don't Go' EP before I departed for my holiday - so have that to look forward to on Sunday.

As for the rest of the T40 - it's great to see Moves Like Jagger doing so well - they've been playing it non-stop in Italy and I just love it - honestly didn't think it'd touch the T20 on iTunes; but it's at #3! Hopefully the new entries don't result in Nero having a big drop - it's too good a single to have a bad chart run - but it's done the hard part now; it got to #1!

Cher falling to #13 = as many had expected. A chart run of (1-3-14) will look rather amusing at the end of the year - she'll be lucky to sell 400k with that single - considering it only sold ~95k in the first two weeks.

It's sold over 100k in first two weeks, 66,316 first week and 34,290 2nd week :)

Lucky to sell 400k, more like 200k maybe 250k at a push

My Immortal is probably one of the most beautiful song I've ever heard, the only I can think of that tops it in those stakes is Hurt by Christina Aguilera (which is the one song that's ever made me cry real tears).

I always cry at 'Hurt', especially when its with the video, which makes it even more emotional. One of my favourite songs of all time, if not my favourite.

Right, I've finally caught up to yesterday with typing out the iTunes top 100s, so today's update should be up FAIRLY SOON - and in text form for the first time in 5 days. Woo.

It's definitely up there for me too, I love belting it out sometimes too if I'm in a real sing-song mood

Yeah, same. 'Hurt' and 'Fighter' are the best Christina songs to try and belt out. Probably sounds horrific to everyone else around me, but amazing to me

Same for me, I have it in my mind I'm good when it comes to singing Hurt then if I record and listen back I cringe!

Modestep - Sunlight  13

Bad news for me

Today's top 100 update (8pm positions)

Six new entries today. As ever, a few of them are there due to reductions to 59p on iTunes. Red Hot Chili Peppers got back into the iTunes top 100 a few weeks ago with 'Can't Stop' following its use on WWE. Another retro track from them, 'Under The Bridge', enters at #70 thanks to the price cuts. Their new single 'The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie' charted for a bit between the two retro chart re-entries but has now sunken without a trace. Far*East Movement enter at #82 with 'Like A G6' featuring The Cataracs and Dev, their only real hit to date, also due to the price cuts. And finally Eminem's best song 'Stan' featuring Dido makes an entrance at #90. Expect a few more 59p songs to show up tomorrow (re-entries due to the 59p cuts also come from Noah And The Whale ('L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.', #52), The Black Eyed Peas ('Where Is The Love?', #86), Semisonic ('Secret Smile', #88) and 50 Cent ('In Da Club', #93)). The other three full-price new entries are as follows: the album version of Nero's third single 'Guilt' entering at #61, Devon singer-songwriter Ben Howard's 'The Wolves' entering at #65 and David Guetta's second 'Nothing But The Beat' promo single 'Lunar' (with Afrojack) entering at #95, performing very poorly compared to previous promo single 'Titanium' featuring Sia. Wilson Phillips, Katy Perry, Amy Winehouse, Robyn, Vato Gonzalez, Jennifer Lopez, Eminem, Bruno Mars, Noah And The Whale and Coldplay have entries dropping out to accommodate the 10 top 100 entries.

I agree with this, especially the understanding situations and dealing with them bit.

I remember, last summer, I was in a difficult situation, where I had this girl following me EVERYWHERE. I tend to have a lot of girls following me around, but that girl was particularly annoying. She was just so loud. Talked ALL THE TIME. Everything was " OMG amazing". She wanted to be the centre of attention 24/7. Well, you get the picture. So annoying. Anyway, I once went clubbing (something I actually rarely do anymore tbh), and the girl followed me the whole night, and she did things to me and stuff. Then, she said, to return the favour, I should give her a lift home, which I really, really did NOT want to do. But I almost did, just because I would've felt so guilty if I didn't. But then I thought of the lyrics of Pass Out, where Tinie says "I leave her in the club, I never walk her home". So I thought to myself, "Well, if Tinie does it, I can do it too"! :D So, I basically abandoned her, and I've never seen her since! :D

So yeah, I have a special connection to Pass Out, and Tinie in general now.

Good to see Drake has stabilised a bit, and hasn't gone into free-fall.

GREAT news for me! :cheer:

I haven't heard the Modestep song, but I'm a bit nervous too, since I didn't particularly love their previous song (although I only listened to it once).

Have you heard the iTunes preview of it?

GREAT news for me! :cheer:

And me! :cheer:

And the top 10, it would've been BY FAR the worst song in it if it got there!

Otis still at #34. The music video has been on the front page of Youtube for most of the day, so I thought it would've climbed a bit more. Hopefully it can get another week in the top 40 officially.
It's good news for me too because I didn't want it to spend ages at #11 before falling as that'd be frustrating :P Besides I never really expected it to challenge for the top 10.
And me! :cheer:

I would actually go as far to say it would've been the worst song in the top 10 of the year so far. Horrible tuneless song. At least it isn't as bad as Bass Cannon though, the worst song of the year. :(
