December 12, 201113 yr Having now heard 'Who You Are' all over the place I would just like to take a moment to state what an ABOMINATION TO MUSIC this song is. Truly one of the worst songs to get a release during the last 5 years. Lyrically it is one of the most insincere, vapid and patronising I have heard in a long time and vocally is BEREFT of any emotion, nuance, subtly and she sounds absolutely awful. Does this now count as singing in tune. I can't express strong enough what a truly AWFUL woman she is be it in terms of personality, music or image. At least Pixie Lott is meek and bottomed out now. Jessie J has a similar plethora of nonsense tunes which seem to do bizarrely well but with some haphazard notion of entitlement and bullshit to boot. Let us hope for a sophomore slump and a musical posthumous flush. I don't know why but it really bothers me when singers seem to try and market their song as some kind of help for people being bullied or feeling crap about themselves. It just feels really disingeuous and like they know it'll help to sell it. It problably doesnt help that she just annoys me anyway but just the way she was speaking at the start of that video Davidson posted says it all. & "I feel like I was born to write music to heal the world" WAT Wish she had more songs like Do It Like a Dude. Sounds like someone completely different to the rubbish she's released since.
December 15, 201113 yr WOW... She's hella talented. Just wish she wouldn't release every last song off her album cos some of them are average to say the least
December 17, 201113 yr SZz0CA039s8 Stunning acoustic performance of 'Domino' on French TV, just beautiful and no-one can accuse her of 'shrieking' or 'over singing' this understated performance.
December 18, 201113 yr Apparently LaserLight is the 2nd single from the re-release. Dunno why she doesn't just move on, but good choice :D
December 18, 201113 yr So isn't Domino getting released :( Edit it is of course  Edited December 18, 201113 yr by Rob Summers
December 19, 201113 yr Apparently LaserLight is the 2nd single from the re-release. Dunno why she doesn't just move on, but good choice :DBecause there's an awards season to get through :P As soon as they're over with, I imagine she will take 3 or 4 months out to record and write new material (but will have 'Repeat' released with David Guetta for his album. - Just so she stays in the public's mind or whatever) I guess this is the reason why David has gone for 'Titanium' instead of releasing 'Repeat' now (which it was originally meant to be, wasn't it?) But either way, GREAT choice.
December 23, 201113 yr http://poponandon.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/jessie-j-domino.jpg "While I'm getting packed and ready for my whirlwind trip to Europe later today (more about that soon), I wanted to share a fun little mix of Jessie J's "Domino" that was produced by soundboard meister extraordinaire Hype Jones. We all know that super catchy original that was engineering by Dr Luke together with Jessie J and Claude Kelly, and now Hype Jones gives the pop original a soaring club revamp with a punchy new club beat. Jones even throws in a mild dubstep groove near the end of the remix that neatly circles back around to the big chorus. Very nice. After enjoying Jessie's collaboration with David Guetta on tracks like "Laserlight" and "Repeat," Hype Jones shows once again that the singer's larger than life vocals fit a potent dance production perfectly." -Arjan Writes". December 24, 201113 yr I couldn't be bothered to sit through a whole Jessie J performance so I listened to that note that Davidson said was a 'moment of life'. Are you talking about that god awful growl she has when she sings or that shriek? Her voice grates me in so many ways it's unreal. I never understood the appeal of Jessie J. Carrying on from Jake's point, Who You Are is possibly one of the worst 'uplifting' songs ever. It's so literal and plain that all meaning is lost in the words. It makes 'Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind wanting to start again?' look like lyrical genius. Another song to compare it to - 'f***ing Perfect', which is also pretty literal in the same sense, is far superior than this.
December 26, 201113 yr Decent enough video I guess, does the job at least and better than 'Who You Are's video. Still looks very cheap in places, and the editing makes it look a bit blurry?
December 26, 201113 yr I like it, simple, but stands out. Much better then Who You Are video. Both quite similar, but different though, as in just her infront of the camera, but obviously last one was sad this one is happy, colourful. I like. :)
December 26, 201113 yr I actually really like the video. It's fun, simple and it's exactly what this song needed. I can't not see this being a big hit for her tbh.
January 3, 201213 yr Well, Domino's QUITE FUN I suppose. I don't know how we're supposed to be taking her seriously as some sort of artisté when she's doing the whole Dr. Luke offcuts thing though?!
January 5, 201213 yr 'Domino' looks like it could be #1 in the UK next week, it's up to #3 on iTunes now! :o :D
January 10, 201213 yr I love this, brings back memories of when she was just starting out. I love that she is still doing videos on YouTube for her fans: EgNeaGSw8Kw
