I don't get how people can vote so early! It's only just gone past 24 hours of the voting thread being opened and yet there are 7 countries who have already voted! It's understandable if you're the host because you have to vote early to avoid being influenced by the other votes and you've already had access to the songs before the thread has opened. I usually need a few days to decide what to vote for and listen to every song a few times.

You can see that much more people have voted in semi 1 rather than semi 2, probably because it's more clear cut between the good/bad songs wheras that's not the case with Semi 2

I could see myself being one of 6, 9, 11, 12 or 13. :lol:

That is true. Normally I spend a fair bit of time listening but I have to vote in both semis this time. I'll probably try to do SF2 tonight.

Which always annoyed the f*** out of me. I just think countries should be irrelevant in the tags, not to say that i feel more secure listening to the songs without knowing who sent half of them. Just in case my subconscious tries to make the 'like' option for NickF1's entry UNAVAILABLE. :D

Ha! :lol: Fortunately I don't have any countries that I've got a subconscious stigma against. :P I find that the tags help me sort out who I'm going to vote for and get an idea of the competition and recognise who is likely to do well.

I added the tags, it gets annoying having to go this thread to see who's who while I listen, it's much easier with the tags. Though I guess tagless is better if you have a subconscious dislike of habit.

If I ever have to host this contest, then I'll give you the mp3s but you're going to have to tag them yourselves because I know some of your are rather precious about it all. :P

But then we'd have to do the whole thing from scratch! :drama: I'd rather have a template to add/delete from than add it all in. I think Grebo's tags were perfect as they were the bare minimum that everyone is going to use, and if people want to add things to it, then they can do.

I'll do the standard artist, song, album, track number tags. But there's no way in HELL that I'm even bothering doing country names, genre, or year! :lol:

When I hosted I was like last to vote, I just didn't open any of the PM's with the votes in until after the deadline and I'd voted. So I only ever know the winner the day I present the votes, which is great if there is a run away winner as I don't see it and think 'urgh'.

 

 

 

I'm like Pavel, I prefer no country info so I don't go in thinking 'this is gonna be shit because its been sent by....'

After spending a quiet evening listening to the tracks, I decided I was ready to vote. So here I go. Votes cast. Love every song I've given points to, and a few more as well.
