She's had it then? "Congrats to Beyonce & Jay-Z" is trending on Twitter and I've seen at least a couple of source which seem reliable.
Headline news on DS, she's had a girl named Ivy Blue Carter  Aww!
^ HA! Genuinely scared.

I wonder why they had to book the entire floor of the hospital :o perfectly innocent I'm sure :D

Her name is actually apparently Blue Ivy, rather than Ivy Blue. Nice name actually.

No idea why they felt the need to pay $1.3m to book the whole floor, I wouldn't have thought a hospital would just rent out a whole floor, but then again this is Beyonce

I hope the name rumours are wrong, because that's not a particularly great name and I can't really see Beyoncé naming her child Blue.

Though apparently:

4 = IV = Ivy. Blue is the fourth color on the color wheel and has 4 letters!
Apparently the baby was named Ivy Blue because the number '4' is Beyonce's favourite number and in Roman Numerals it is 'IV' and blue is Jay-Z's favourite colour. I do hope it is Ivy Blue rather than Blue Ivy because it's sounds kinda cute () and it sounds better when you say it out loud.
Blue Ivy is laughably crap, and sounds like a poisonous plant. Ivy Blue I actually rather like.

(POSSIBLY FAKE)

:o  Congratulations to her, she's going to be a fantastic mother! I quite like the name; it definitely works better together than the two names separately.

(POSSIBLY FAKE)

Looks fake to me, her head looks slightly put on?

Congrats to them both! I much prefer Ivy to Blue so hopefully the latter is not her Christian name. All of this 4 nonsense is a bit naff too if you ask me. Is she going to have 4 kids and name the rest of them Quatre, Vier and Cuatro? I WONDER.
Oh that's such a silly name! Although with friends like Gwyneth and Chris, I guess we shouldn't have been expecting much.
Hello Baby Blue!

We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.

Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven.

She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives.

We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.

Guess she isn't too posh to push.
NEW YORK, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Lenox Hill Hospital Executive Director Frank Danza issued the following statement in response to inaccurate news media reports regarding the presence of the Carter family at the hospital:

"Lenox Hill Hospital and its staff were delighted to welcome the Carter family for the birth of their firstborn on Saturday evening, but we are troubled by the misinformation being circulated in some news media reports. The suggestion that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor is simply not true. The family is housed in an executive suite at the hospital and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations. Our executive suites are available for any patient, including the food service and amenities provided to the Carter family.

"The family does have its own security detail on site. However, the hospital has been and continues to be in control of managing all security at the facility. We have made every effort to ensure minimal disruption to other families experiencing the births of their own children over the past three days. No security plan that we or the Carters' security team put in place would have prevented or delayed families from gaining access to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and to date, no families have complained to the hospital about being denied access to the NICU.

"Lenox Hill Hospital takes patient privacy and safety very seriously. And while we congratulate the Carter family on the birth of their child, we value the loyalty of ALL of our patients and always strive to ensure a positive experience, knowing that the birth of a child is a wonderful moment producing memories that last a lifetime."

New parents Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles are donating their baby gifts to charity.

The superstar couple have been inundated with presents since welcoming their daughter Blue Ivy into the world on Saturday (07.01.12) and while they are very grateful they want to give the majority of items to those less fortunate.

A source said: "They've been sent literally hundreds of gifts in the past few days. Oprah Winfrey gave a huge trunk of children's books and others like P. Diddy, Kanye West, Rihanna and Mariah Carey have all been sending luxurious baby treats.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé have decided to donate a massive selection of the presents to local charities for young mothers. They've already got the most precious gift - their new baby daughter - so they want to help out other parents who haven't been as fortunate."

However, there is one item the couple want to keep for their daughter: a diamond-encrusted pacifier.

The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "A close friend of theirs in the music industry gave them a diamond-encrusted Cartier dummy - it must have cost $20,000. Blue has officially got her first piece of bling!"

Meanwhile, Blue has become the youngest person ever to appear on the Billboard charts.

The tiny tot's coos, cries and breathing can be heard on Jay-Z's new song, "Glory", which was recorded 48 hours after her birth.
