Except, I understood why Airplanes was being downloaded so much. It was confirmed as the 2nd single, had already been #1 on US iTunes, and it might've had a music video at the time aswell. Turn Me On has none of these. I don't think people are seeing Nicki Minaj and downloading it, becuase Raining Men from Loud didn't even go top 100 iirc. I bet it's being used on an advert or something.

I do, her profile has continued to massively increase over the 9 months since Loud was released. Not to mention that David/Nicki have recently had a huge smash with Where Them Girls At so obviously a lot of people have a hunger for more of this combination. Pretty sure it's not getting any extra exposure anywhere, sometimes album tracks just take off more than others!

Nicki is probably the most 'relevant' name on the album today who isn't on a shit track (ie Will.I.Am :P), along with Jessie J - plus as gooddelta said Where Dem Girls At will leave people wanting more David/Nicki, which they've been granted! I really hope it 'does an Airplanes' :wub:

No, he meant Loud. There's a track on Loud with Nicki Minaj on aswell, and I was saying if that one got very few downloads, Nicki can't be the reason this one is, and he was just saying Nicki has become more popular since last Novemeber.

 

Looking on Youtube though, most of the conversations about Turn Me On are to do with an online comic called Homestuck (read here for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homestuck#Homestuck), so I think that's where it's getting downloaded from. I just find it a bit funny that a song climbs 5 places on UK iTunes and everybody is like "What? Why? What's going on?", and then you've got this song that's top 20 on iTunes practically everywhere in the world, with absolutely no promotion whatsoever (apart from that really popular online comic) and nobody bats an eyelid. :lol:

Gutted that Nicole Scherzinger - Wet is missing the top 20, It's not being advertised on the 59p section on iTunes what is costing it dearly! It would have got top 20 this week had David Guetta & Nicki Minaj not zoomed up so fast, I hope they drop come Friday to around 15-16 to ensure they avoid top 20.

I think when Maroon 5 overtakes Example on iTunes today, their lead at #1 is going to be quite big - c. 20-30% I reckon by end of Saturday.

I don't think the Sats or Pixie can get #1, Leona should be top 2 but it's hard to call. They should all be Top 5 though. Would LOVE MLJ to get #1 officially next week. It would be a double whammy with it being #1 on Billboard as well.
