Ronan Parke unveiled a new track he has recorded for his album..

I think I like it! :drama:

AND YES, it's an album of covers.

Ronan Parke has announced details surrounding his first studio album.

The Britain's Got Talent runner-up will release his self-titled debut record on October 24.

Ronan Parke contains 12 classic songs and has been produced by Stephen Lipson, who has previously worked with Will Young and Jordin Sparks.

Parke has also unveiled a focus track for the record, which is his own interpretation of Vanessa Carlton's 'A Thousand Miles'.

A full tracklisting for the album will be announced in the coming weeks and fans are able to pre-order the record via Parke's Facebook page now.

The singer signed up to Sony Music following his appearance on the ITV1 talent competition back in June.

The 13-year-old recently told Digital Spy that he is excited about recording the album and that he thinks it will surprise fans.

So will the 12 songs be Original or Copied.

I love the Original Version of A Thousand Miles but this one is ok.

How exactly will an album of covers SURPRISE his fans? He's singing in French? His balls have dropped and his voice has broken? He's doing them in the style of a drag queen?
That video is a hideous. Simply for the fact that the actual graphics look extremely like Glee, and the actual picture of him wearing the hoodie is a complete rip of a very famous Justin Bieber picture. So contrived it makes me ill.

"YES it's an album of covers" would tend to suggest no original songs.

ronanparkevevo?

His voice sounds different from BGT, and not in a good way. The tone in his voice is really annoying. Not a fan.

The only good performance he did was Feeling Good, he murdered Because Of You and now he takes the butcher's knife out on another of my all time favourites... I can't stand him in honesty...
I really liked his 'Forget You' performance & T4 On The Beach but I really don't like his 'A Thousand Miles' cover.
I think it's all very well Mum's sitting at home cooing over him and his niché fem-fresh novelty thing but does that translate into going out, buying and listening to his music. Beyond the confines of primetime variety television is there any room for him to work as a recording artist? I suspect not.
He has ruined one of the best songs of all time.

I suspect he will sell well with this album (not million selling status but platinum at least), but nobody will care come next year.

AWFUL. I don't care if he's young, it's just unsanitary. The Justin Bieber thing was clearly Cowell's idea *shudders*

He said he loves Gaga so he will most likely cover her.

I see this being a flop as his couple months of fame have gone!

I quite liked his cover of A Thousand Miles actually. I suppose the album of covers is just to keep him fresh in people's minds, while people write songs for his first proper album?

The album was released this week. Picked it up today and can honestly say I'm really enjoying it! Especially loving his cover of Forget You.
