Personally I say BLACK and I lost my pet marmoset Danielle in a spelunking accident.

This program irritates me more than any other show I can remember in recent times... it's completely and utterly vacuous with literally no skill or ability involved at all.

I never thought a show could make Deal or No Deal look like University Challenge - but Red or Black does!

I've lost faith in humanity seeing how many people (especially here on BJ - where I thought people were more intelligent) actually think this is a good show - on ANY level.

I have seen parts of this, but I can't be bothered to watch it all in full tbh, as the parts I've seen just did not engage me at all, the 'suspense' they try to create just doesn't really work...

one has to wonder if Simon just thought he needed a way to promote his singers/acts before the X Factor live shows started

A really, really terrible, boring, simple show...... and let's be honest, all this pile of tosh is is yet another vehicle to trot out Cowell's very own special blend of bland muzak.... the abysmal Il Divo tonight, with JLS and One Direction to follow this week... dull dull dull.

I've not watched the show but, from what I've read about it, here are some better ways of spending your time

1) Rearrange the fruit bowl

2) Count the number of times the letter J appears in the latest edition of the Oxford Dictionary Of English

3) Rearrange the words in the latest Buzzjack Chart Show Thread in alphabetical order

4) Measure the surface area of every corn flake in a packet and work out the average

5) Listen to every Westlife album on a continuous loop for three months

TO add to that, you could play red or green with the apples instead.

I watched one to be able to give a valid opinion.

What a load of TOSH. Clearly fixed, preselected people etc etc.

Same. I suspect that's where those million viewers went between the first and second episode.

After watching the first episode, I was happily able to go into work and judge anyone that remotely enjoyed this as a complete and utter moron.

Geniune lol!

I agree on the preselcted thing too, funny how the (albeit incredibly minor) celebrity made it to the final 2. So shocked she didn't get the million actually.

I have to agree with others that Red Or Black is such a non event of a TV gameshow. I suppose we shouldn't be at all surprised that Simon Cowell is the "brains" behind this concept.

I watched the first part of the show last Saturday night out of curiosity. The one thing that bemused me more than anything was during the early rounds at the stadium, and it was like watching people being interviewed before their X Factor audition. It really was the most bizzare thing I was seeing on TV. Then when people lost by getting the colour wrong, I saw shots of people crying and hugging each other. WHAT IS THIS?!!! :D

So I found myself getting increasingly bored and didn't even bother to watch the final show last Saturday. Haven't bothered with it since. The article that marrb has posted says everything.

That opening video for One Direction was so obviously so they could cover up their not-so-good live vocals...clearly they couldn't do anything for Harry's shaky solo part though! UH OH.
They certainly can't cut it live, showing the start of the video was hilarious

I couldn't work out whether that into was amazing or just really embarrassing..

also it always baffles me when X Factor contestants suddenly become rubbish live when it's their own songs they're singing. Surely you'd think they'd be better at them as they're suited to their own voices?

The big surprise for me was that they actually sang at all maybe they shouldn't have bothered. :P

They were never great during X factor but huge backing track was used to cover up weak vocals. Doesn't matter though their success was never being built on their singing ability but selling them as pretty boys to adoring teeny bopper fans.
