Is Jay-Z's label Rocnation or Def Jam?

Roc Nation. He was also the president of Def Jam until 2007.

I said in the Record of the Decade results, since Rihanna first charted she's had a new chart entry on average every 10.5 weeks since!

And she's kept up an average of having 2 and a bit songs in the chart (top 75 until mid-2007, top 100 since) every week since her debut! (669 total appearances in 315 weeks, coming to ~2.124 per week)

Include All Of The Lights and it comes out to an even 2.2 entries per week, 693 appearances still in 315 weeks.

Amazingly despite the year still having 15 more weeks in it, 2011 is already by quite a bit her most productive year - she's had 189 appearances in the top 100 in total this year (213 including AOTL), beating the 164 she had in 2008.

2005 18 appearances

2006 40 appearances

2007 73 appearances

2008 164 appearances

2009 60 appearances

2010 125 appearances

2011 189 appearances so far (+24 as part of 'Various Artists')

I have a feeling I've posted this before  But it's an update on the last time I posted it anyway.

Rihanna is on both Roc Nation and Def Jam though, I think. I'd love her to do another song with Jay-Z. Here's hoping for a Run This Town, Part II on her next album. :kink:

The David Guetta/Usher song is climbing unbelievably fast!! :o

I think she's also on Mercury in the UK! And I swear you like all the songs I do! :D

Well, at least that's one person on this forum I have similar music taste to. :drama:

when you think about it, it's not really that surprising that rihanna's fifth single of this era is doing so well. look at katy perry - her first 4 singles of her current era went top 3 and her latest one went top 10.

plus 'cheers' is also amazing and deserves to do well.

David Guetta/Usher  17, I think this is a certain top3 hit, definitely the best track on the album in my opinion!

I prefer Repeat and Turn Me On, but probably because I love the featured artists  But 'Without You' is amazing, and will deffo go top 3, with a good video...

Coldplay stay in top 10!!

sadly they will be long gone by sunday, if not before, with Dappy, Jason Derulo etc being released

There's not much point in Coldplay being in the top 10 really, it's not going to be in the official chart, it might as well fall away :(

Why are Guetta & Usher climbing so much? I assume it's the next single? Has a video been released for it or what? I heard it on the radio earlier. It's extremely bland. Easily the worst thing I've heard off his album :(

Yeah. It's his next single. It was confirmed as the 3rd single before the album release (before he knew about how popular Titanium and Turn Me On would be I guess...) and they filmed the music video the same time as they filmed the Little Bad Girl video, so I heard. So they'll just release the video when the time is right (probably in a couple of weeks).

I think it's a good song personally. I love the chorus. It's a bit like Titanium aswell.

Love Without You, at the moment its probably my 3rd favourite on the album with ofcourse the incredible Titanium #1 & Night Of Your Life at #2. Glad its climbing.

Set Fire To The Rain   #19

Body & Soul  #24

Lighters #15! Officially released Sunday, along with You and I (which is only #38 at the moment).

1+1, #67, i was watching the music channels for about an hour yesterday and it was absolutely everywhere! Whats bey's official next single? Still dont know so many different things being sad

Marry You at #11, back in top 10 soon? However Dappy, Derulo & hopefully Morrison will all go top 10 on Sunday so another clear out coming up. Bruno needs his video out, its lost its chance of being #1 now i think unless the video is really special.

So why is it climbing so much now? In the past few days it's shot up from the mid-40s all the way to the top 20. I'd assumed it had a video, but if not, then...

Hopefully 'Titanium' will be the fourth proper single although I bet it'll be 'Turn Me On' or 'Repeat'. :(

64. Loca People (What The F**k!) - The CDM Chartbreakers

This is getting ridiculous now! There seems to be a cycle of fake climbing - fake deleted - new fake appearing every 2 or 3 days now.

93. On A Rainbow (Official London 2012 Mascot Song) - Carrie Fletcher, Tom Fletcher & West Leigh Junior School Choir

I suppose we'll be seeing quite a few London 2012 songs in the chart when the Games come around.

I don't know. I heard it on the radio on Monday or Tuesday morning, and then when I came back from work the song had climbed liked 10 places up to #35 or something, which was the day it started climbing properly. So if it's at #17 now, that probably means Radio 1 have played it twice more since then. Radio airplay can be the only explanation why it's climbing I think. Unless it's being used in an advertising campaign.
