September 13, 201114 yr How is that possible though? :o Didn't it get top 20 on iTunes? I don't know, it was either a massive OCC cockup that they never acknowledged or it was infringing some OCC rule that resulted in a massive portion of its sales being disqualified.
September 13, 201114 yr Infact, I can't think of any B-sides that didn't chart in recent years. I always thought Umbrella didn't, but it turns out it did. Although I still can't understand why it charted about 65 places lower than it should've done (how can you go top 20 on iTunes and miss the top 100 officially?). I don't know, it was either a massive OCC cockup that they never acknowledged or it was infringing some OCC rule that resulted in a massive portion of its sales being disqualified. Oh. So I guess nobody knows the real reason. That's really annoying. A shame it had to happen to the best-selling B-Side of the past few years aswell. Edited September 13, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob
September 14, 201114 yr Author I've got internet connection problems hopefully Tom will be able to sort everything out soon, its not really fun when I go and type the whole thing up, and my internet cuts out in the middle of it. Obviously when the mids are available as far as I know the mids are not available yet
September 14, 201114 yr I don't understand why One Direction is selling so well. The song is pretty average and sounds like something the Backstreet Boys would do. I know they are from the last x factor series but they don't really stand out enough for me.

They buy because they think they are fit. They are a marketing dream for Cowell. A few years on them & he'll cast them aside for a newer as talentless model. September 14, 201114 yr Author Had a quick look no update as of yet, probably One Direction entered the building and let one off.
September 14, 201114 yr Author Wednesday Update Top 40 Only  Singles Radio 1 Chart Update - Singles ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++  Albums Radio 1 Chart Update - Albums
September 14, 201114 yr Author Something different for today just click on the above links, saves us the trouble to write up the update. Hopefully MW will resume normal services tomorrow.   ooops no Coldplay :snif:
September 14, 201114 yr No coldplay, but they'll be top 30 at least wont they if Paradise is now #9 and stays top 10 for the rest of the week? Also expect Tony & Amy to come in top 20 maybe? Depending how well they do in the space of wed-sat, #16 at the moment.
September 14, 201114 yr No Coldplay in the top 40 yet? I assume that must be an error, I know it was a Monday release but surely it wouldn't affect it *that* much. Hopefully will show up straight in the top 20 in tomorrow's update.
September 14, 201114 yr Author Also expect Tony & Amy to come in top 20 maybe? Depending how well they do in the space of wed-sat, #16 at the moment.  It probably won't even chart top 40, its a bit late, its got at least 2 or 3 days to catch up.
September 14, 201114 yr It probably won't even chart top 40, its a bit late, its got at least 2 or 3 days to catch up. If Florence + The Machine got to #24 with pretty much only Wednesday-Saturday sales (and very few Tuesday sales) and a #9 iTunes peak, I'm sure Tony & Amy can go top 20 at least as they'll probably get much higher on iTunes.
September 14, 201114 yr Yeah as Bre said I think Tony & Amy once in top 10 will really benefit and could go as high as #4 possibly? and will at least make top 20 come Sunday, thats if they break top 10, which i think they will by tonight i'm sure. Edited September 14, 201114 yr by Karma
September 14, 201114 yr On The Official Chart Update @onedirection are soaring to the top with nearly 100k sales.
September 14, 201114 yr So an increase of no.9 to no.6 for Joe McElderry? He will probably sell another 20k plus this week, he may increase to 120k this week.
