September 23, 201114 yr Author Apparently the UK has no taste. Just how those little talentless morons Wand Erection be at number 1 ahead of the talented Maroon 5. Maroon 5 single is #1 worldwide. Probably most of last weeks singles were bought/downloaded by 8 year olds. Apparently you're an idiot.

September 23, 201114 yr Well, it's good that the UK is the only country where home-grown artists are getting to #1 then. Actually this is not true :heehee:
September 23, 201114 yr Apparently you're an idiot. I don't think that was necessary. Anyway people talk about homegrown no.1s as if they're better than international acts getting to no.1 but this isn't always the case. I think the best song should be no.1 regardless of nationality. It's nice to see British acts do well but I'd rather they were producing good music in order to do that. Having said that, the last few British no.1s have been very good but we occasionally end up with songs like Swagger Jagger there.
September 23, 201114 yr Actually this is not true :heehee: Yes, I know that Moves Like Jagger isn't #1 LITERALLY everywhere in the world. And it's #1 in the US, so it's homegrown there. *waits for someone to swoop in and say how amazing the charts are in some random European country* I don't think that was necessary. Anyway people talk about homegrown no.1s as if they're better than international acts getting to no.1 but this isn't always the case. Just playing Devil's Advocate a bit, since I remember a few months ago people complaining that the US were dominating. But I agree, ultimately it should be the best songs getting #1. September 23, 201114 yr Why was the Coldplay single ineligible for the chart? It was available on iTunes!
September 23, 201114 yr Author I don't think that was necessary. I don't think the comment "Probably most of last weeks singles were bought/downloaded by 8 year olds." was necessary either.
