November 26, 201113 yr LOVING this album. He seems to have perfected his "sound" and seems to have found his niche. It's basically what every 2nd album should sound like (i.e. an improvement on the debut, whilst not straying too far away from it/experimenting too much - If that makes sense haha) It's excellent! 'Oh My Goodness' for single #3 and the title track, for single #4! He's definitely up there with Bruno Mars as my favourite male popstar at the moment. Especially since Ne-Yo released that abomination of a record.
November 26, 201113 yr Hope you two are buying it, Olly is the kind of guy who deserves the purchase. I should be receiving it tommorrow. From previews it sounds like a consistent sound throughout apart from the singles. That's good as the last album was a bit schizophrenic and copycat, but he knows what he wants to sound like now. 'White boy soul' apparently. The ballads sound stronger so if he really has to show variety then it won't be the disaster Heart on my sleeve was. Hope there are one or two more big hits on it so he can sell even more of this album than the last.
November 26, 201113 yr The ballads are definitely stronger. The whole album is consistant and flows really well. I will definitely be purchasing once i've sorted out what I need to. It's better than his debut (for me at least) and I think he's definitely got another hit or two out of this album. (not 'Heart On My Sleeve' or 'Busy' type hits either.)
November 26, 201113 yr Wow, this album is excellent, it's exactly what I hoped he would be doing while I was watching him on X Factor. I would have left the throwaway 'On my cloud' off it and replaced it with (the admittedly old song) C'mon C'mon. I'll be doing that on my playlist anyway, otherwise I love the rest. And yeah I agree with you about the ballads Jonjo, 'I need you now' actually choked me up and I don't usually get that moved by ANY music, gorgeous ballad It's no wonder it's Olly's favourite on the album as it seems to be him at his most heartfelt and honest. 'Tell the world' has a killer chorus, I'd be surprised if that's not a single, should be the next one. Another option for the next single is 'I'm Ok' but I wouldn't be surprised if they go with something like 'I don't love you too'. I'd love 'I need you now' to get an airing but ballads bomb so I'm 50/50 there. Very impressed. My initial song ranking: 1. I need you now 2. Tell the world 3. Oh my goodness 4. I'm ok 5. In case you didn't know 6. I don't love you too 7. Dance with me tonight 8. Heart skips a beat 9. Anywhere else 10. This song is about you 11. Just smile 12. I've tried everything 13. On my cloud
November 28, 201113 yr Number 1 on Itunes! Rightfully so tbh, it's better than Rihanna, Buble and One Direction's.
November 28, 201113 yr I've listened to this twice and it's just not clicking. :( Last year I was addicted to his album and got goosebumps with some songs, this just feels like a bunch of B-sides. :( Everything seems so dull and repetitive. :( Hopefully it'll sink in because I do love Olly.
November 29, 201113 yr I've listened to this twice and it's just not clicking. :( Last year I was addicted to his album and got goosebumps with some songs, this just feels like a bunch of B-sides. :( Everything seems so dull and repetitive. :( It's the other way round for me, I found his last album really boring bar the first 2 singles. Absolutely love In Case You Didn't Know the title track
November 29, 201113 yr I LOVED his last album. :o Bloody fantastic so it was. :D The tracks still sound so fresh. I think it's because i've recently purchased Jason Derulo and The Saturdays new albums and i've got tons of new tracks on iTunes and i'm finding it hard to remember them all. I'm loving 'Just Smile' and 'This Song Is About You' today. It's growing. :)
November 29, 201113 yr I think it's because i've recently purchased Jason Derulo and The Saturdays new albums and i've got tons of new tracks on iTunes and i'm finding it hard to remember them all. Same here I feel flustered atm with new albums I still can't remember all Saturdays, Rihanna's tracks
November 29, 201113 yr 'I need you now' is Olly's best song ever IMO. Should be 4th single as there'll be no pressure on the chart position then, should shift a few more albums, showing a different aspect to it. 'Oh my goodness' will be the next single according to Greg James. Top song, good ambassador for the album, but no real lyrical hook, think it could struggle in the charts.
November 29, 201113 yr This album is perfect  My top 5: 1. Anywhere Else 2. I Need You Now 3. I'm Okay 4. Oh My Goodness 5. Heart Skips A Beat
November 29, 201113 yr Author Really don't get the I Need You Now love, worst track on it for me :( 01 Heart Skips A Beat 02 Anywhere Else 03 Oh My Goodness 04 Dance With Me Tonight 05 In Case You Didn't Know imo  Best male album this year tbh!
November 29, 201113 yr A very good album! I never got around to listening to his début in full, so despite listening to odd tracks, I've not actually heard it to the end. This, however, lead me in with two very strong lead singles (the second of which is my favourite song of his), so I was very pleased to hear that the album is a similar style to that :) I'll give it a rate after a few more listens, but after disappointing albums from The Saturdays and Pixie Lott recently, it's very good to have an artist exceed my expectations :D
December 2, 201113 yr I hope he works with some different (and more renowned) writers on his next record cos I think he's capable of more. Claude Kelly (genius) & Steve Robson have cowritten Dance With Me Tonight, Please Don't Let Me Go and a quite a few other good songs with him so they should continue that relationship. But he's well capable of producing a record full of hits if he works with more great writers. Crap like On My Cloud shouldn't be getting anywhere near the album.
December 2, 201113 yr On my first play of this I was quite disapppointed as it didn't grab me at all like his debut but after playing it again and through headphones I love it, just listening to it on the train journey now, and its so generally happy and upbeat, have quite a few faves to sit alongside my already adored Heart Skips A Beat and Dance With Me Tonight, I love Oh My Goodness, In Case You Didn't Know, Anywhere Else and everything else is pretty good too although that "WOTEVA" on ' I'm OK" makes me cringe hard every time I play it. I know its been commented Dance With Me Tonight sounds a bit Christmassy but I DEFINITELY get that vibe from 'I Don't Love You Too' because of the bells and its definitely got a lot in common with Robbie's You Don't Know, sounds really Christmassy, I love it. I think there's only really on My Cloud that I'm not keen on, otherwise great album.
