If oh my goodness can reach the top 10 and do reasonably well in terms of sales it will hopefully boost the album, triple platnum would be a great achievement this time round but if not the album has done very well for him with plenty of legs left in it yet.

I have a feeling it will this time. The trouble with 'Heart On My Sleeve' was that it came out way too soon after airplay for 'Thinking Of Me' was still holding ground...'Oh My Goodness' being released on 1st April has no such problem because airplay for 'Dance With Me Tonight' (and to a certain extent 'Heart Skips A Beat') is starting to peter out now - Capital have already playlisted 'Oh My Goodness' as of this morning so that's a start - I'd say this single combined with the ITV2 documentary around the single release will ensure it goes top 10, plus the exposure from BRITS/Let's Dance for Sport Relief and other TV promo he'll do for this single.

Speaking of 'Oh My Goodness', behind the scenes video up on YouTube ahead of the premiere on Friday. He is indeed running a lot in this video - the shot of him going through the clothes rails cracks me up!

Bit of a shame about his Brits performance, he was clearly very nervous and the choreography and camera angles were a mess. You know what, I think he woulda won best male if he was nominated, he has more fans than any of the others nominated. Alot of people were scratching their heads over who Jame Blake was... considering it was a fan vote he was a wasted nomination.

Doesn't look like the performance has had any impact on HSAB at all, it's not even top 100 on iTunes. :(

Best Male is decided by the Brits panel so he wouldn't have stood a cat in hell's chance.

As for his performance he's clearly made little progress since X Factor when his vocals were never his strength. Techniques on tour can be used to cover up a multitude of sins.

Can't say I'm surprised, it was atrocious - even by Olly's standards :o

The video.

Decent enough. Love the song though, really hope it's another top 10 hit for him!

I'm sure it will be Jonjo, his success is huge right now, its amazing seeing him do so well and Joe on the other hand..

He's a real success story of X Factor. Heart Skips A Beat & Dance With Me Tonight have been so huge! This should do pretty well too, the album has done great too, good on him.

*cough* Ahem, anyway, good video, I hope the song goes top 10!

His music is so radio friendly i have to say and his songs are growers, they get catchier and catchier with each listen.

He's in Berlin today, reaching Hoff like levels of fame over there! Well almost.

Yeah one performance proves it, nice snap judgement there. But all the great performances he gives on tour should be discounted? I think not. He was clearly nervous you just had to look at his face, he actually thinks the Brits are a big deal for some reason. As for Best Male, yeah I have to agree then but if it was fan voted he would win it.

number 1 on itunes alone should see him at the least a reasonable peaking single in germany which is great, hopefully great enough to help shift some albums for him.
He'll deffo go top 10 in the current chart climate. People no one's heard of are making the higher reaches regularly. With his fan base he'll do it no sweat!

Already at #44 on iTunes with two weeks to go until the new digital bundle is out - it's doing a hell of a lot better than 'Heart On My Sleeve' was 2 weeks before release in any case! It's climbing up the Airplay charts as well - #15 on Video Airplay and #16 on Radio Airplay, A-list at Radio 2 and C-list at Radio 1 (probably B-list by next week)...Capital and Heart have playlisted it as well!

'Heart Skips A Beat' is now #2 in Germany, it's highest position to date - he's performing it in a mashup with Taio Cruz and Sean Paul at the ECHOs in Berlin on Thursday! He was wicked on Graham Norton last week as well, such a funny interview and a great performance of 'Oh My Goodness'.

Acoustic version of the song, in video form - this was filmed during sound check at the Brighton date of the arena tour! So many happy memories of the tour watching this back, he sounds flawless on this as well...by the way this version of 'Oh My Goodness' is on the single, the tracklisting for the single is:

1. Oh My Goodness (Radio Mix)

2. Oh My Goodness (Cagedbaby Remix)

3. Don't Say Goodnight Yet (brand new B-side) - I've heard this one already actually cos' Olly and his two B/V's John and Darren who you can see on the video there sang this to us acapella during the documentary filming!

4. Oh My Goodness (Exclusive acoustic performance)

i agree with everything you said.

Sorry but i'm still confused as to why this was chosen as a single. Same with 'Busy' and 'Heart On My Sleeve'. The first two singles from both album were brilliant, sounded very radio friendly, had such catchy and unique productions and really stood out but the post-album singles have all been very limp and forgettable. It doesn't help that the post-album singles have also had very low budget videos.

I just don't get why he'd choose 'Oh My Goodness' over the title track (which screams top 10 hit), 'Anywhere Else' or 'I Don't Love You Too'. Same with choosing 'Busy' and 'Heart On My Sleeve' over 'Don't Say Goodbye', 'Change is Gonna Come' and 'A Million More Years'.

I just feel like he's slowing down his album sales by releasing average album tracks. :( I'd be suprised if OMG even touches the top 40 officially, and it's not really doing much for album sales either anyway.

Well airplay's definitely looking good for the single so far - it's A listed at Radio 1 and 2, and Capital and Heart as well, and it's always on the music channels when I see it atm. I reckon he'll go top 10. He's performed it a lot on the various Sport Relief shows over the last weekend too and he's got loads of TV promo coming up this week and next!
It would be great if Oh My Goodness reached the top 10 as he didnt manage three top 10 hits from debut album. Additionally, i believe if oh my goodness becomes a decent size hit the album stands a great chance of making triple platnum status for him.
