Personally I ADORE k-pop and j-pop, I would send them every other contest if I had a hope of them doing anything, it's really the best pure pop music in the world right now. Yes, even more so than scandipop :o

Sometimes I do! Just checked my sent PM's and I gave Bangkok City 4 points in the BJFestivalen final!

 

It's not a genre I expose myself to much but I don't dislike it, hence why I appreciate the entries sent here - every now and then I hear a gem, like Nu Abo for example :D

And I agree with Tom, J/K-Pop is brilliant and is just so varied and just generally great! Some brilliant artists - Koda Kumi, 2NE1, Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Namie Amuro, After School and so many more, it's a shame it goes under the radar a bit and never does well in BJSC :( I really don't know exactly what makes it so inaccessible!

Will Farahtyn be annoucning the points in the semi finals results? or just say who got throgh?

And so on. But after the final results, the full scoreboard for the final is released.

I still think Hitstastic should send one of his own songs at some point! Not that it would be a first of course, Charis sent his own cover of Westlife's Amazing to the first contest :lol: I very nearly sent my own and Hits' 'LB9 vs. Hitstastic - Breathe' to the same contest but decided that putting my own stuff up for judging would be too painful a process to watch! It's one thing getting attached to your entries but it would be something altogether different when they're literally your own songs!

Close in terms of quality for me really although Semi 2 is let down by one dreadful song in a contest that otherwise caters quite nicely to my tastes!

No, points are reset to 0 for the final votes. The semi votes aren't revealed just because the final would end up predictable.

Would posters really be allowed to do that? :o I'd be quite bemused if a song I produced myself ending up winning BJSC.

Is it possible to extend the deadline as the voting thread was only up on Monday and the mp3 packs yesterday, so it's barely anytime to accustom yourself and vote for the songs.

I'd just like to say I'm really enjoying most of the semi final 2 tracks. :D For me, there's a good number of highlights and only a handful of lowlights (and even they aren't that bad). :o

 

I suspect this is going to be the toughest round of voting for me since BJSC XXXIIV.
