Giving it away for free will be great promotion imo. It'll get more people talking about the song. People will hear it when they listen to other people's music, for example.

 

Boom Boom Pow and Tik Tok were both available as free downloads before they were properly released. They ended up doing relatively well. :lol:

But Boom Boom Pow was the year-end #1 in the US in 2009. And Tik Tok was the year-end #1 in the US in 2010.

 

I somehow can't see Freedom being the year-end #1 in the US in 2011. :lol: But yeah, based on what's happened in the past to some songs, I don't think it being given away for free is anything to worry about.

It just all seems a bit random!

to be fair, in blackpool town centre, jjb sports acts like a stereo to the whole street. it can be annoying sometimes, considering the songs that they play most of the time. :lol:

Yeah! :D It's pretty awesome. It's only in one of the indoor shopping centres though.

 

You probably don't believe me, but yeah, people do dance. :lol: Well, not full-on Britney Spears-esque dance routines, but you usually see people bobbing their head to the music, or singing along. But Papi, nobody was doing anything. It might be because most people didn't know the song yet.

'Papi' has been sent to the music channels. I've seen it a few times today. One of my favourite tracks of the year so far. :wub:
