I remember last year a fake version of Billionaire cost it for going to number one. A Fake version went to #11 on iTunes for like 3days costing them thousands of downloads resulting in Wanted getting number one with All Time Low.

 

But this time, the fake versions haven't got that high and they deleted the Sak Noel one quicker. I still think it will be fine and get to #1 easily.

I'm still clinging to hopes that Maroon 5 can make it to number one eventually. It's probably going to outsell the majority of singles that keep blocking it from the top spot.

That wasn't a fake version, it was the real version (just added illegally).

I remember that. There was this compilation album of "real" versions of the songs illegally put on iTunes. Dynamite by Taio Cruz was on it aswell iirc, aswell as a few other big hits at the time. I was surprised Billionaire didn't go #1 after that though. I know it lost sales to it, but at the same time, if it managed to sell that much from it.

 

I remember All Time Low got released early aswell though (again, the real version) and then deleted (I remember we were timing how quickly it fell out of the top 1000 :lol:).

 

And multiple real versions, and multiple cover versions of We No Speak Americano were released early aswell. So that week the whole top 3 were victims of that! :o

I know everybody else on here hates her, but I think she's really pretty (this could apply to both Cheryl and Christina tbh :lol:). :wub:

 

And what Bray said is correct. It tends to be the pattern that American hits have more longevity and sell more than the British ones, which are usually flash-in-the-pan.

I don't want to turn this topic into a Cheryl Love fest (As much as I would love too ^_^ ) But she doesn't deserve the hate she get's on here. The general public still like her, it's just people on online forums like this who seem to have the problem!

 

I will agree a little actually as British hits seem to debut quick and fall like Pixie Lott and the Saturdays did recently. There are exceptions of course like Jessie J's Price Tag.

Never got the Christina hate myself either. I think she's a fantastic singer. Heard Beautiful on Chris Moyles today and remembered how amazing it was, not even my favourite from Stripped. It just seems on BJ that if you have one flop era you're automatically crap in everyone's eyes.

Christina is amazing and I will not hear otherwise -_- Beautiful is overrated though, my fave Xtina songs are Fighter, Hurt, Candyman, The Voice Within, You Lost Me and Can't Hold Us Down! Bionic had some great tracks too (WooHoo, Glam, Not Myself Tonight, You Lost Me to name a few!) - such a shame it flopped...

Your right! She has done zilch to be hated. She is someone who has achieved great things which should be celebrated and not dragged down. Everyone mentions she can't sing, well for a fact auto tune can't invent a voice and it has to have something to work with from the beginning. Cheryl can obviously sing as there are numerous examples of her live especially with Girls Aloud on tour.

Christina can never over sing! She is just showing us how she is probably one of the best female vocalists of all time! She needs to keep it up and definitely not tone it down.

 

I love it too! Good time to be a Cheryl fan.

Another ridiculous hater claim. Everyone has made mistakes and most of the Chav culture has done much worse *Rioters Anyone?* She paid for it and she has been a role model since.

 

To be fair to Cheryl, those toilet attendants in clubs are f**king annoying.

I have to admit, I was getting so sick of Cheryl this time last year, especially with her awful judges houses choices on X Factor and the dreadful 'Promise This', but even I think she was rather good on US X Factor the other night and I actually properly felt for her. I even re-watched the Cheryl episode of 'Passions of Girls Aloud' earlier today :lol:

I'm not accusing you of being a hater here but the Amogbokpa thing is something I've always found very interesting. The reasons people use to justify their outrage about the "attack" are generally:

 

a) She beat up a defenceless woman. Therefore, she is a convicted criminal and should be locked up for life.

 

and

 

b) Amogbokpa (I love that name!) is black. Therefore Cheryl is racist.

 

Both being very weak. First off, regardless of whether Cheryl is physically stronger than Amgobokpa one punch does not an evil person make. And second, most of the time I respond to argument b by asking if Cheryl attacked a white person, would they think she was racist against white people? The answer always being no. Which tends to make them realise how stupid their argument is but they will continue it whenever Cheryl is brought up again anyway... But this is irrelevant to iTunes!
