September 27, 201114 yr I think the term 'proper poster' is a bit up yourself, surely it's fine for people to post only in the Will Young forum (for example) and occasionally venture into the chart forum because Will is there? It's no different to people like (for example) Tirren who mostly post in The Lounge and maybe venture occasionally into the iTunes thread. Actually yes I am. I've been reading these forums for years and finally decided to join. Didn't plan "arguing" with anyone. Didn't realise when I joined that some people think they have more right to an opinion than others though. Funny my comments about S Club 7 on another thread didn't provoke so much reaction :) The chart forum can be a bit full on, you'll get used it I think if you stick at it :P Sorry I take exception to your post. I've been a regular poster on buzzjack for a lot longer than you. I'd except you (and one or two others) as well, I have seen that you aren't of the type Bré described. I think I have the people he means in mind, I won't say because this 'disagreement' is ridiculous really and should just be left, I don't want to make it worse. Edited September 27, 201114 yr by Liаm
September 27, 201114 yr The chart forum can be a bit full on, you'll get used it I think if you stick at it :P I find this part of the forum to be the most friendly! Well maybe the artist's forums are nicer; I've never read them.
September 27, 201114 yr I find this part of the forum to be the most friendly! Well maybe the artist's forums are nicer; I've never read them. It is largely a nice place, you do encounter the odd intolerable loon at times though. If you learn quickly to get around that, it is a nice place. The AFs can be VERY loony sometimes but I guess that's part of why they're there.
September 27, 201114 yr Reading all these faceless loons' posts makes my brain melt. :( I think that what Bre was saying is that you're only posting in the chart forum because Will/Joe is currently in the chart, otherwise you just hide out in the artist forums talking about the most pointless irrelevant things. So therefore you aren't 'proper' posters as you are very narrow-minded and only talk about certain artists (same goes to all of those AF trolls). Surely you must have some other artists that you like?! I didn't even now there were artists forums! I'm a bit of a geek for stats actually :) And if you read what I've been saying today I am also a big fan of Will Young as well as many other artists but its the comments that I took exception to not interested in a silly argument of Joe v Will. I just posted something about Joe and people went mental for some reason and started to get personal. Edited September 27, 201114 yr by torresgirl

It wasn't directed AT you, seeing as you are a new poster, but just in general I find people who only stick to the AF's a bit annoying.
September 27, 201114 yr There are only 53 copies between Will and Joe :D And can i say i might not always post but i read the chart forum everyday whether Will is in the chart or not ....i even pay for a MW subscription because i am such a chart geek. :P
September 27, 201114 yr Author How random, the past few pages have gone a bit pear-shaped, never a dull moment on Buzzjack :drama: If you can't win, might as well join them... How much is the price of fish these days. Actually don't answer that, or else it be another 3 pages of fish talk. :P
September 27, 201114 yr Sorry I take exception to your post. I've been a regular poster on buzzjack for a lot longer than you. I know you are, you're an exception :P Most of the other people aren't though which was why I asked. (By the way I wasn't meaning to offend anyone, I was just curious - big fans of these popular-but-niche acts tend to only post actively while their chosen act is in the chart, it'd be nice if you did stick around on the site after Joe/Will are out of the chart is all because you seem like decent contributors) Edited September 27, 201114 yr by Bré

Think there will be a lot of movement in the chart (not just Will and Joe) before Sunday. Expecting some of the new entries to fall quite significantly.

September 27, 201114 yr I did tbh. It's a STUPID choice of single for Europe. Why not Americano or Scheisse? I actually quite like You and I. Its the first single off the album I have enjoyed. Its nice for her to have released something this era that doesnt make a point about how eccentric she is, or sound like a bulgarian eurovision song. and I LOVE the Loca People, and MLJ has grown on me ridiculous amounts, they're the two in contention for number one on my personal chart this week! Who ever gets number one I'll be happy. Edited September 27, 201114 yr by jackman
September 27, 201114 yr I am interested in the Chart thread and the Itunes one and i appreciate both very much, stats have always interested me and like Sunday i can be a geek for them, I do read both threads often but am mostly posting more at the moment because Will is in the charts and doing well, it's been great to see as a fan and I'm enjoying that right now, :D I hope not too many brains have melted during the making of this post. Anyway, Alexandra was supposed to have an album and single out this year but both seem to have been put back, any news on when her album is due now?

Hasnt Leona's album been put back as well? Maybe both hoping for a better chart position in the new year when sales are quiet? Be interesting to see how Leona in particular goes with Collide underpeforming slightly.
September 27, 201114 yr I'm not a huge charts watcher, if I'm honest. Most of the artists I like don't get near the charts these days. Will is the exception and I do like to follow his chart progress, so tune into Buzzjack at relevant times. I hope that's ok with others on here. I really appreciate all the information people bring to these forums, so thanks!
September 27, 201114 yr Leona probably moved because she was heading for a #3 entry behind Rihanna and Olly. I think it's a stupid decision though, even if it did peak at #3 it would sell several times as many copies with a pre-Xmas release than a post-Xmas one, she's going to end up struggling to even go platinum I think...

Its certainly competitive however I agree, surely its the amount of copies that count not that chart position. Mind you with the way the press are they probably would portray it as failure and with the single not getting top 3 could be seen as a bit of a down turn
September 27, 201114 yr Hasnt Leona's album been put back as well? Maybe both hoping for a better chart position in the new year when sales are quiet? Be interesting to see how Leona in particular goes with Collide underpeforming slightly. Yes, Leona is apparently recording new tracks, but i think the track listing was all ready to go for Glass Heart so i wonder if any tracks from the original cut will make this new version or if it's just a total re-record? it will be interesting to see what happens there. Alexandra could possibly be in a better position than Leona in the new year, she's free of Simon Cowell for a start  so not having a number one album may not harm her in quite the same way it could harm Leona.
September 27, 201114 yr Leona has the worst label/management in the world. Alex was lucky to get away from Syco. Do we expect Nicola to be top 20 on Sunday?

Not sure I've just seen loads of angry Leona fans on Twitter who think its a bad idea to wait. Being away from Cowell certainly lowers expectations. I also wonder if as Collide got quite a lukewarm reception chart wise they will have another single, say a big booming ballad before the album release to hit her target audience and so promote the album better.
