4 was a TURD of the highest order. Not even worthy of being UTTERED in the same BREATH as Born This Way.

 

Each track on 4 is a masterpiece, even its iTunes bonus track, whereas BTW has too many fillers (still less than those on The Fame). And while no '4' single was a proper hit, at least they picked the right ones imo.

 

It should have been a 12-track album tbh:

(no I didn't include You and I because it's horrible (imo always) and it's out of place in BTW despite its success as a single.)

 

 

To get back on topic, I really hope they get everything right with ARTPOP as its the album that will prove Gags longevity. or not.

 

 

 

I do think if this album goes wrong for her, I could see her becoming a niche gay icon in the same way Kylie or Madonna now are.

she just tweeted the picture but we know how much she likes to build up a reveal so I doubt it's anything to do with the cover. plus that other photo looks like fan art so this probably is too.

I just hope for a splash of colour on the cover, I'm tired of black and white.

People are way too harsh on Born This Way. Yeah it has it's filler but cut the crap and you have the best 10 track pop album released in quite some time.

It's incredibly strong and how someone cannot see that is beyond me!

 

Compare it to The Fame where, if you remove just 3 of the singles, you're left with an album of piss poor tracks that even Pete Waterman would reject as sub standard.

Oh and ARTPOP is a great title (caps for you gaga) and it doesn't sound pretentious at all. It's a play on words in the same way so many other artists do with their titles, it's just that gaga has chosen a subject that's actually worth paying homage to.

I doubt we'd get an album cover so early on anyway, and I'm optimistic it won't be worse than the Born This Way cover! (still can't believe that)

Completely agree. The filler tracks for me are Black Jesus and Fashion of his Love.

 

The Queen is a highlight of the album, so I'd include it in your list.

I'd agree with Chris' BTW album but I'd keep Hair in as well to make an 11 track album, never understood the hate for it at all!

Electric Chapel is the worst on the whole album.

The Queen is easily the worst, and Hair is just 4 minutes of dull cheese, in my opinion of course.

Three 10/10 moments for me, and despite a few awful tracks, and not the right single choice's it was still easily the best pop album of 2011. I just hope ARTPOP will be to a similar standard, if not better.

Don't get the hate for 'Electric Chapel' at all. 'The Queen' is BY FAR the worst, followed by 'Hair'!

Azealia Banks has confirmed her collaboration with Lady Gaga.

 

The rapper revealed that she has worked on a new song with the 'Born This Way' star, but is unsure if it will make the final version of her upcoming album ARTPOP.

"Yeah, I worked on a song for her," Banks told Capital FM. "I don't know if it will make her record. I hope it will make her record, but we'll wait and see."

This is going to be crazy. It'll either be a hot mess, or incredible.
