I realise there are many here who don't like the more poppier tracks, mine especially, but is there any need to always harp on about how much you "f***ing hate it"

and how they are "the worst song i have heard this year"? There are pleanty of songs in this contest I hate too, but I am not gonna go and be all bitchy about them.

At the end of the day, it cuts both ways. Yes all the pop must be tedious for indie orintated countries but many of them just manage to tolerate it without complaining about it being shit or whatever just because they didn't qualify. In the same way, pop countries need to realise they have it easy with voting - they're spoilt for choice! If you don't like the song, fair enough but why go on and on, it won't make you qualify so just look past it and move on. More people liked other songs than yours and that's that. It's not like it was a fix or anything...

No Romance, Midnight City, Paradise and Shake It Out are indie-ish but yeah still quite pop.

Paradise wouldn't be being called indie at all were it not by Coldplay. It's pop through and through. Shake It Out kind of depends on what you'd categorise Running Up That Hill as :lol:

I kind of agree about Paradise, it has indie appeal shall I say rather than being proper indie. Same for SIO really, when you put it that way (it is indeed similar to Running Up That Hill) it is quite pop but with the Florence tag plus slight indie-ness has such appeal. I worded it all wrong, Leona, Will, Maroon 5 and a few others are undeniably 100% pop though!
