September 25, 201311 yr Oh WOW, took a bit for all the pieces to fall into place again (kinda forget where they all were at the end of S2 tbh) but Roots final scene!!! SO SO SO happy they made her a regular. Oh is there a season airing just now? If so, may have to catch up a lot quicker than I am now so I can watch with everyone else (grand total of John and Silas x) ~
September 25, 201311 yr Rooney watches it too! But yeah S3 just started airing last night in the US. There's a total of 46 episodes have aired to date and it just gets better and better, especially the arcs towards the end of S2.
September 25, 201311 yr Yeah going to watch the premiere tonight probably on S3! Agree with what John says.. first half of Season 1 is a bit of a drag, but it gets more interesting around episode 9 or 10. Goes from strength to strength from then on.
October 30, 201311 yr LOVING this new Vilgilance arc, it seems to be giving a chance for most of the main players to do something that feels fairly consequential. It's only episode 6 though, so obviously early days but this episode was just the perfect example of what this show does so well. About 50 different plotlines flying around towards the end, yet they all got tied up and made total sense. Plus I still get a kick out of seeing Root put on that wry little smile and make some kind of insanely infatuated comment about her.

Couple of great guest stars, and the Vilgilance arc looks great. Still not so sure about the addition of Shaw to the main cast.
October 31, 201311 yr I do agree on that, she it already felt like having FOUR main people working on a number was a bit of a stretch, but thus far I'm liking that having Shaw there seems to have brought some new/more interesting case types to the show.
November 20, 201311 yr Going to watch it tonight John, I know this is ep 2 out of 3 (or possibly the final one I'm not sure) in the final HR arc and they've teased a big death!!
November 20, 201311 yr Yeah it's 2 of 3. I shant say anymore until you've watched it bar next week looks AMAZING.
November 20, 201311 yr Saw that coming a mile off! There were only two main characters they could have killed, and they (thankfully) went with the right one. The character had run their course. As soon as they kissed I knew it was the writing on the wall. Great episode though.
November 20, 201311 yr I guess I was more worried because said character was basically my favourite on the show and I'm now thinking will I enjoy it as much? The answer is in all likelihood, YES, but it really did feel to me that the other possibility was the one who would die. That would have left the show no worse for ware but also caused a nice shock all the same. Either way, we have ROOT shooting people/things next week so I'm sure I'll forget about the events in this episode when that happens.

The other one was too obvious. Plus I think they'll go somewhere now with the Shaw relationship (obviously not sexual) to build both characters up.
November 20, 201311 yr This is true, Shaw has felt a bit like a third (fifth) wheel a lot of the time. One thing I'd be interested to see what you think, some of the reviews I read said they thought the kiss/romantic thing felt at odds with the characters and really sudden. I thought that was pretty implicit for at least S3 and much of S2.

I thought that was pretty implicit for at least S3 and much of S2. I felt it was a bit at odds with them. I didn't really feel the chemistry between them at all, but in a good way. It's slowly been building up, but only over the past couple of episodes have I really noticed it. I mean the whole reason for the mess they're in at the moment is because of what happened to Cal! Reese is a meant to be a cold character. It just felt like it was there. I wouldn't have liked it if it was a permanent thing, would feel slightly odd.
November 20, 201311 yr Reese is involved with Zoe too (per his little comment in episode 1/2 of this season), I guess I'm just a shipper for those 2. Or WAS.
November 27, 201311 yr WOW 2013 really has spoiled us with truly INCREDIBLE episodes of TV, Game of Thrones 3x09, The Good Wife 5x05 and now this (of course Breaking Bad too, but I don't watch that). Hurt is not a song you use lightly, but it summed up the episode and the place the show and the characters found themselves in perfectly. Fuscoe's actions at the end are the greatest possible tribute there could be to Carter and what she did for him and I also like that he did still get his comeuppance. So many emotions running through that episode really, but it balanced them all perfectly and gave some very interesting glimpses into their past. Most interesting was the Shaw was nearly a doctor, but they basically found out that she's a sociopath, which was VERY interesting and revealing.
November 28, 201311 yr Probably the best written episode of the show so far. I really liked it. Was a fitting tribute to the character of Carter. The use of Hurt was used pretty well too. Interesting to see a bit more of the background to Team Machine. It's nicely set now for the future.
July 28, 201410 yr The end of S3 was incredible TV, but the S4 trailer suggests that it was just a set up for YET ANOTHER huge step up in story telling for the show. ng0JFB2hH-M It really seems to be playing to its strengths a lot, pairing Root and Shaw together, John back to walking into rooms menacingly shooting up the place etc.
August 7, 201410 yr Just finished watching Seasons 1&2 on Netflix. Absolutely loving it, Harold Finch/Crane/Starling/Ostrich/Rook/Chicken/Red-Tailed Hawk is one of the best characters I've seen in a TV show in some time.
