Get off Riri ! :(

I've always supported her, but not this week, and not with this song. I'm tired of her "club bangers" and I hoped she didn't go down the electro route this time again.

THIS. #5 now :(

Thirded.

I actually do love We Found Love but GAH at Moves Like Jagger looking like missing out again, on what is definitely its last opportunity to go to #1 :(

At least during their mammoth #2 run and peak in Australia they've been beaten by the same song each week, six weeks at #2 behind six different songs is just beyond a joke now. I thought that Better Off Alone being denied by three songs in 1999 was bad enough, so this is officially twice as bad and I can never use the Alice Deejay example again!

I guess in 4-5 hours it will be number 1 and it have 3 FULL day and a few hours to pass MLJ... This is not going to be easy at all, she needs to do at least 27-28K per day.

Plus we could have had 2 long stayers at #1 this year, if no one saw Adele coming. :( with PT and SLY battle earlier in the year.

GaGa songs have been helped loads by the price reduction

30. Yoü And I - Lady GaGa (also #321)

43. The Edge of Glory - Lady GaGa (also #241 and #505)

66. Born This Way - Lady GaGa (also #507 and #756)

121. Bad Romance - Lady GaGa

155. Telephone - Lady GaGa & Beyoncé

162. Poker Face - Lady GaGa

173. Judas - Lady GaGa

190. Alejandro - Lady GaGa

199. The Lady Is a Tramp - Tony Bennett & Lady GaGa

205. Just Dance - Lady GaGa & Colby O'Donis

260. Paparazzi - Lady GaGa

742. Speechless - Lady GaGa

841. Teeth - Lady GaGa

892. LoveGame - Lady GaGa

She has 4 full days (wed, thurs, fri and sat), so I guess Maroonina is screwed :(

I think that RiRi should have released this/her new album in Summer 2012 and done a Loud re-release at the end of this year like planned. It's good to keep making records so people don't forget about you but if she keeps doing this then people will get tired of her.

They appear to be on course for 70k max this week so she only needs to sell 17.5k per day just to match them, I can see her shifting 30k today alone so I don't think she'll struggle too much to make up the other 40k over the following three days...

Isn't Gaga promoting in the UK this week too?

Yeah, I think she is in London now. I know she is performing You and I on Jonathon Ross' show this Saturday, I'm not sure if she is singing anything else or doing any other shows but usually when she does any performances all of her singles get a boost so it looks like the climb of Gaga songs will continue :) Hopefully Y&I can manage top 20.

Y&I now #28

 ugh, i really dislike Rihanna. Honestly, i didn't "love" her but i appreciated her music. Now, bye. MLJ will no doubt be one of the year's top selling songs and more remembered than the crap that was released the weeks beforehand. It looks like it may be nominated for a Grammy. Also, with Christina in town for the MJ Concert, it would have been lovely if she was at Radio1 when it was announced MLJ was #1. They still may be able to do it but Possible Grammy>>UK #1 anyday of the week.

Still upset :(

She's 2? I wonder how many hours this will take her to be number 1... and she needs a BIG lead... Stupid call to release it 3 days after everyone else.
Wow Rihanna already #02?! :o GET THAT SMASH. #01 hopefully officially - it's a much better song than the catered for Heart FM 'Moves Like Jagger' and it's always fun to see people PMS about chart positions! :D

It will be an interesting battle. I agree that Maroonina will do around 70K for the week - don't think Rihanna will manage as much as 30K today though. Don't forget that Wednesday is the poorest day of the week for downloads so even if she does three times as many as MLJ today that might only be 20-25k. And will she sell anything like that many on Thursday, Friday and Saturday? Will she tail off slightly on Saturday with the weekend effect?

For me MLJ is still the favourite.

I don't really mind if Maroon 5 miss out on #1. It'd be unique for it to stick at #2 for six weeks, behind 6 different #1s, it'll go down in chart history!

If Rihanna manages to get to #1 with just 4 days of sales, I'd be thrilled for her.

Wow, so there clearly was demand for Rihanna! Whoever it was at Island records that released it this week (rather than 14 November  ) is clearly reading this board. :D I hope she gets a couple of weeks at the top and stops load of held back releases to give a big fingers up to UK record companies.

I agree totally, I'd rather see it having that chart feat than a sole week at number one.

But Rihanna always goes number one by default, it tells nothing about anything really.. If it fails to sell 75k, it would have been her who was behind any of those number ones during the past five weeks.
