Using my points system :P Moves Like Jagger is #1 and Jar Of Hearts #2 for the last 7 weeks on 691 (!) and 652 points respectively. The A Team is third on 629, then fourth is, erm, Don't Go on 610 which really just shows how fast paced the charts have been recently.

So I'd agree with your post but include The A Team as well (which coincidentally has also got an XF boost - THEY'RE ONTO SOMETHING)

Rihanna isn't falling fast, Maroon 5 are gaining fast. Hopefully it's short lived and Rihanna will pull ahead again soon.

I was going to include The A Team but it's been around so long, I didn't really think of it as 'the last 2 months'

New release update:

11. Run for Your Life - Matt Cardle

31. Forever Featuring The Churned - Yeo Valley

81. Stereo Hearts (feat. Adam Levine) - Gym Class Heroes

83. Pass At Me - Timbaland

104. Forever (Radio Edit) - Wolfgang Gartner

121. Pass At Me - Timbaland

Very surprised at how poorly GCH are doing, it looks like they could be a nu LAG6 - then again we said the same about Sak Noel and that still got to #1 (albeit only just). I'm sure they'll start climbing quicker soon. Matt Cardle not doing too badly, I actually sort of expected him to be lower after how poorly it's done on Irish iTunes so far (and they're normally more receptive of XF winners than us!)

Not a new release but:

146. Yeo Valley Rap (feat. Mr George & Lisa Roxanne) - Yeo Valley Boyz

I'm guessing people are just searching 'yeo valley' on iTunes

Fantastic to see Ed comfortably back in the top 10 - and with 3 other versions in the top 300 hopefully top 10 is guaranteed for this week.

Would be great to see Jar Of Hearts back in the official top 5 as well. LOL at the Glee version showing up again

Hopefully Fix You can hold up well enough over the week to go at least top 50 again. It'll almost certainly miss out on the top 40 but it'd be fantastic if it could get there of course. Maybe I should buy that live version which I don't own yet

Come on, get to the top spot "Stereo hearts" ! I want this at #1 and "Moves like Jagger" at #2 ! Double Adam is a must :kink:

Happy with "Jar of hearts" climbing again ! Craig's performance was very good although I am not touched at all by his overacted interpretation. The man can sing still :)

Dire for Timbaland thus far :o Will teach him to throw out any old crap and think that he can get away with it I guess!

I would say dire for Stereo Hearts too but I fully expect that to climb quickly once people realise that it's available/get over downloading the fakes.

Hmm Matt's doing decently but not climbing as fast as the 'big sales' number 1s from the past few weeks I don't think, obviously One Direction were number 1 by the early hours but Dappy and Olly Murs also had much faster climbs I think and they cleared/almost cleared 100K?

I think Matt's on course for itunes number 1 with the X Factor boost later if it manages to displace Rihanna, but can only see it having average-ish sales and not sure if that will be enough for a number 1 in the end.

There were a lot of current songs on X factor last night, though it was a bit wrong for Gary Barlow to introduce Marcus as singing 'the current No.1' as I fully expected him to sing 'Loca People' perhaps Gary meant the Big Top 40 because I think Maroon 5 are number 1 on that, or he was just been presumptious that Maroon 5 would be number 1 tonight, because even at that point there were still a couple of hours sales left that might have made all the difference, he couldn't possibly know Maroon 5 would be number 1 on tonight's chart at that point!

If I recall correctly Morning After Dark had an equally appalling start and that still got to #6 (in its second week).

GCH picking up speed. I still think they could be #1 challengers. Pleased to see Wolfgang Gartner at least top 100, top 40 would be nice.

Oh absolutely. 'Pass On Me' is dreadful and deserves to bomb. First time I saw the video I was AGOG at just how bad the song is. Why is David Guetta credited? It doesn't sound anything like Guetta or even a hint of Guetta, or is it because he makes an almost camero-esque appearance in the video he's automatically tagged as a featured artist.

Interesting seeing Gym Class Heroes stalling on iTunes. I'm sure it'll climb but would've thought it'd be giving Matt Cardle a run for his money this week. I guess it serves the record company right for holding the release back. I reckon 'Stereo Hearts' should've just been released two weeks ago when the fakes started doing well.

Not to throw fuel onto the fire here, and I KNOW opinions are subjective but I just can't understand how Pass At Me made it onto the Radio 1 b-list. Why was it not laughed out of the room at the playlist committee meeting? Some cheap dated beats with 'ole ole ole oh oh my god' muttered over the top every few seconds is what the audience wants to hear is it?

It's not by somebody new or British either, so the Cher Lloyd/Matt Cardle/whoever argument doesn't work here - especially when quite a few times they've actively ignored Pitbull! I can only assume that it's been supported because of the David Guetta connection.

If Rihanna is #1 this week (I doubt it), she could possibly fall to #4 next week.

Matt is steadily climbing up the chart and has an XF performance to help, Maroon 5 will inevitably overtake WFL this week due to the song's lack of music video and Christina could keep increasing as the week goes on while Rihanna keeps falling. Also, a slim chance but Cee Lo Green is also performing on XF tonight and will probably smash it vocally so maybe he'll bounce into the top 5 too.

Cee Lo will be top 40 next week, but nowhere near top 5. And I'm kind of beginning to lose faith in M5 today :(

I think Rihanna could start pulling back ahead of Maroon 5 soon as their XF boost wears off - it may just be wishful thinking but I think if M5 were to overtake Rihanna they would have done so by now.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :snif:

Finally made the effort to listen to the preview of Matt Cardle's new song AND realised I've been hearing it for weeks on the radio!! Its so bad I always thought it was 'The Feeling'
Gary's declaration of MLJ being no.1 only made me more certain it will be at 2 this afternoon :drama:
Don't like Pass At Me, it's like a billion over songs being made now they're all the same but because it's got Timbaland in it and I like the video style I hope its a Top.40 hit which it will either only just scrape or miss out on completely but I think it'll be a gradual grower

:D

It's not about the peak position though. Maroon 5 could end up with the 2nd/3rd biggest selling single of 2011 without getting to no. 1 so as long it continues selling, the record company will reap the rewards.

Same with 'We Found Love'. Regardless of where it charts today, it will continue selling because of the inevitable X Factor performance, the music video premiere, etc...will ensure this song will most likely keep selling a good 50k for a number of weeks therefore giving Rihanna yet another massive selling hit. Rather a massive selling #2 than a #1 selling barely 100k in total.
