This is the dilemma with a show called 'The Voice'. It's fair to say the best voice won, but at what cost?

As mentioned already both Bo and Tyler were easily the most marketable of the remaining three. Leanne is the type of singer who would've had a no. 1 single two weeks after winning a show like Opportunity Knocks in 1972, but this is 2012.

Rihanna doesn't have the greatest voice in the world, but she's extremely marketable and has got a strong team of songwriters producing hit after hit after hit. Like Tom Jones said, it's all about the right songs, and this is very true for any artist - not just reality TV show winners.

As the winner, it really will be interesting to see what Leanne achieves from now on. Bo and Tyler don't have that added pressure of having to live up to expectations so they can release whatever they want.

In a way Leanne winning the show is the best for Bo and Tyler when was the last time a winner of the X Factor had a decent career apart from Leona Lewis and Alexandra mind you they are not setting the charts alight these days, usually runners up do well take Olly Murs for example. I think Bo and Tyler will do better in the long run, just hope now someone gives them a recording contract. I love Bo's voice is so unique and different from what there is in the chart at the moment, its fresh and easy to listen to, on the ear. Much better than listening to screeching ballads.

I think the best example we can use is Lemar who finished third in Fame Academy and went on to become easily the most successful of all the Fame Academy students across both series.

Again, Lemar was fortunate to have a lot of support from radio/TV and some great singles too. That's why Lemar was a success story compared to David Sneddon who pretty much wrote off his career with that dreadful third single where he tried (and failed) to copy Robbie Williams.

Personally, I don't think Bo's voice is unique. She sounds like a cross between Diana Vickers and Dolores O'Riordan with a hint of Sinead O'Connor thrown in for good measure. I'd personally say Tyler's vocal style was more unique. The only other male artist who relied heavily on falsetto was Mika, and he was OTT falsetto compared to Tyler.

In all fairness, hardly any winners of the first series of a talent show do THAT well.

After catching up, here are my comments. I'd not read ahead at any point, hence my hopes/predictions being present :P

Round 1:

Another beautiful vocal from Bo, but it was perhaps a bit too similar to Sinéad O'Connor's original to stand out enough. You can always hear her emotion though, which is really special.

Leanne's vocals are just out-of-this-world amazing! Vocally the best in the final (and I'm hoping for a win from her), but I'm not sure she stands out enough as an artist to win.

Tyler's falsetto works best on the songs which are designed to be in that style, specifically "Higher Love", so to see him do it on every performance is a bit tired.

Vince has sorely disappointed me with all of his performances since the blind auditions/battle rounds. Seeing him capable of the two different styles on "Like a Virgin", it's a shame he's not re-employed them in his later performances. I'd like to see him come forth, but I think he'll probably be in the top two as he has a strong fanbase I think.

01. Leanne Mitchell - "It's a Man's Man's Man's World"

02. Bo Bruce - "Nothing Compares 2 U"

03. Tyler James - "I'll Be There"

04. Vince Kidd - "Many Rivers to Cross"

Round 2:

Danny should never rap. Ever. His parts of the duet were cringy, whilst Bo just sounded exactly the same as Emeli. A disappointing performance on the whole.

I disliked Leanne and Tom's performance in that, like with the whole of Team Tom's performance a few weeks back, it seemed to revolve around Tom rather than the competing artist(s). Leanne's voice sounded really good on it; it was nice to hear her do an uptempo song for once too!

Tyler looked a bit awkward during his and Will's performance, but he gave a good vocal and the performance was interesting too.

A bit too similar to the original again for Jessie and Vince (which isn't helped by it being Jessie's song), but I think he did well on it.

01. Leanne Mitchell & Tom Jones - "Mama Told Me Not to Come"

02. Tyler James & will.i.am - "OMG"

03. Vince Kidd & Jessie J - "Nobody's Perfect"

04. Bo Bruce & Danny O'Donoghue - "Read All About It"

Overall ranking:

01. Leanne Mitchell [03-07-03-02-01]

02. Bo Bruce [02-01-01-01-02]

02. Tyler James [01-01-02-04-02]

04. Vince Kidd [09-03-05-06-04]

Round 3:

First of all, I'm shocked (but pleased) that Vince came fourth! I expected him to be top two, but maybe I was wrong about the fanbase size. I can still see him being successful anyway.

I like that Bo did a different arrangement to the one she did in the semi final of "Charlie Brown". I wouldn't have chosen it as her best of the series (that lies with "Running Up That Hill", for me), but she did it brilliantly again.

Leanne did "Run to You" beautifully, yet again. She's got such a beautiful vocal, and she is too. I'd be over the moon if she won.

I'm so glad that Tyler chose to sing "Higher Love" again! It wasn't quite as good as the first time (or how I remember it to be), but it was still very good.

The coaches' mashup was ridonculous (as Jessie J would say)! I didn't expect it to be very good, but I loved how they blended the songs together, especially "Price Tag" into "Where is the Love?". Cheeky of will to include "This is Love" too though

Over the moon that Leanne won! :o I never expected it, nor did I expect myself to fall in love with her and her voice as much as I did... Truly deserved, and I can see why she won as she obviously touched a lot of people with her performances (especially "Run to You").

01. Leanne Mitchell - "Run to You"

02. Bo Bruce - "Charlie Brown"

03. Tyler James - "Higher Love"

i don't understand why this forum don't like Leanne, she has all the variety to be success

she is the only one stand out in the final

Bo is boring, she has magic, but i can't imagine her whole album gonna sound the same

Vince, i don't know, least favourite

Tyler, he may have a career

In all fairness, hardly any winners of the first series of a talent show do THAT well.

Kelly Clarkson, Will Young?

I was really hoping for Bo to win after Becky went out. Tyler for me is overrated and don't think he would have done have as well if it hadn't been for his connection to Amy Winehouse.

As for Vince - he was just a weirdo.

Leanne has a good voice but why does she have to scream so much.

I only thought Bo had one really bad performance and that was when she sang Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill.

Unless you have an operatic voice singing Kate Bush is an absolute no-no.

The only singer I have ever liked singing a Kate Bush song was Hayley Westenra singing Wuthering Heights.

I want to know who came 2nd and who came 3rd out of Bo and Tyler, I am still miffed that they didn't even announce it.

I'm still a bit surprised that Leanne won. Out of the four finalists, she was definitely my least favourite. She has a good voice, but that's it. And she was shouting way too much as well. Tyler, Bo and Vince are all artists with a very individual sound and style and Leanne doesn't stand out for me.

And to rank last night's performance (I won't do the third performance as we've seen them before and they were almost the same).

01. Bo Bruce and Danny

02. Tyler James

03. Bo Bruce

04. Vince and Jessie

05. Vince Kidd

06. Tyler James and Will.I.Am

07. Leanne Mitchell and Tom Jones

08. Leanne Mitchell

Tyler has been my favourite since his very first audition and I still think he is the best contestant, although his OMG performance was a bit disappointing. It's beyond me why Will chose that song for him as it's so not his style. If Will wanted to pick one of his own songs, he should have picked something like Don't Lie or Meet Me Halfway.

Bo's duet with Danny was by far the best performance, it was absolutely brilliant! Wasn't that impressed with Leanne.

I still want a studio version of Tyler's Higher Love. So glad he performed it again.

And I loved the coaches performance with their medley, it was go good. Ed and Maroon 5 both did a great performance as well.

YES! I've been championing Leanne since the battle rounds and am so pleased she won! I standby the fact that I said she'll be a bit like Adele. People won't find her marketable at all, but somehow they'll work with her very well to ensure she has success.
I do like Leanne and would like to see her to do but i have a feeling this will be the same as many years on x factor where the runners up end up having a better career. Time will tell, but id be surprised if Bo and Tyler dont get deals aswell.

A 12-track album has now been released on to iTunes featuring performances from the final 8, plus all 4 winner's singles! I believe they are all studio versions, but I haven't checked the previews yet.

In all fairness, hardly any winners of the first series of a talent show do THAT well.

Popstars - Hear'Say (million selling #1 single)

Pop Idol - Will Young (biggest selling song of the century)

Pop Stars: the Rivals - Girls Aloud (4 week #1)

X Factor - Steve Brookstein (Point conceded, but he still got to #1)

The Voice - Leanne whatherface (possibly not even top 40!)

You know it's bad when you consider the following:

Fame Academy - David Sneddon (2 week #1)

They're 'officially releasing' "Run to You" on July 9 with the video. The most bizarre decision ever - it's not going to make any more impact than the #45 flop :(

Leanne replied to me on Twitter :D

It was only a 'yes x' but still  So it IS Run To You, I asked her if it was :P

I really like Leanne and everything, great voice and I love her version of 'Run To You', but it goes to show it should've been Tyler who won. He's making the most impact and is probably the most marketable.
